    I have never been to a Holiday Inn express or any IHG locations that showed more unprofessional and lack of care. The front desk person Nicolas was very passive aggressive and rude. When arriving at property everything was fine. Once being assigned a room 201 and seeing the shades were damaged and non operable. I called and requested a room change. From there it was down hill with this front desk person. I would expect more from someone that handles guest. If you are going to have a young adult be alone at a front desk make sure they have people skills. I would love to get a phone call from the general manager. I have already reached out to IHG customer service. I left the property and requested a refund in full do to the horrible experience. I went to the Holiday Inn right next door and it was a breath of fresh air to deal with such professional and kind front desk person. Maybe have the lady that is working over there train Nicholas.

    I didn't realize Holiday Inn Express was now offering a 'Surprise Roommate' program. They gave my key to a total stranger while I was unconscious in bed. It’s a great hotel if you’ve always wanted to know what it feels like to have your heart stop at 3:00 AM. I ended up having to throw hands just to stay safe. 0/10 stars—apparently, the 'Express' stands for how fast they’ll compromise your safety.

    Hotel Canceled Our Room Without Notice, Then Refused Accountability I booked two rooms with double queens through the IHG app the day before our arrival. Shortly after booking, I called the hotel directly to ask about adjoining rooms. They said they were very full but could put us in rooms next to each other. They told me the rooms were already assigned and we were good to go. There was no indication of any problem with either reservation. When we checked in, the front desk said only one reservation was in their system. We pulled up both confirmation emails right there at the desk. Didn't matter. They acknowledged one room and dismissed the other. I called the hotel's reservation desk directly. They admitted they could see a second reservation but REFUSED TO TELL US when or why it had been canceled. The agent said we should have booked directly with the hotel by phone, rather than using the official IHG app or corporate reservation line. That felt shady, and it's hard to imagine why that would ever be necessary. I asked to speak with his manager. He asked me why. I told him I wasn't happy with the help I was getting. He acted like he was going to transfer me, then hung up. I then called IHG's corporate reservation line, where we learned that someone at this hotel had CANCELED OUR SECOND ROOM AT 11 PM THE NIGHT BEFORE OUR ARRIVAL, without any notification to us. IHG corporate confirmed that under their "walk" policy, the hotel was required to book us at a comparable property at no charge. The called the hotel on our behalf. The hotel told them that since our reservation was no longer in their system, they couldn't help us. The same system they had altered. IHG corporate tried to help us get moved to another hotel but at that point there was nothing available. This was a busy weekend in Boise with hotels selling out across the area. Our room was canceled at 11 PM the night before our arrival, prime time to rebook it at a higher rate. It appears the reservation team and local management here know exactly how to work the system to maximize their revenue and dodge accountability from the brand, regardless of how it affects their guests. I have both confirmation emails and the full cancellation timeline confirmed by IHG corporate. I'd think twice before booking this property. It's hard to know if this is just a rogue local management team or if this is how Safari Hospitality trains their staff. Either way, it's unethical and deserves to be called out.

    Best airport hotel for the price! Immediate ride with the airport shuttle, great free breakfast, coffee machine runs all day, ice water all day too. Service was great, I broke my phone charger and went down to see if they sold any, the girl at the front desk gave me one from their supply for free! And toothpaste. Always love holiday inns.

    My fiancé has just gone through surgery less than a week ago. Staying with him suddenly became not an option due to a situation i can't disclose. I had spent my last $100 on a room for 2 nights down the street at the super 8. Super 8 refused to take my specific card because the security for my bank was "too good". When they canceled it they refused to refund me my money or help me at all. I had nowhere else to go. Luckily i was able to get ahold of my grandmother. The front desk staff was super patient. They were able to help my grandmother and i get me a room for a couple nights. This hotel made a really bad day a little less painful. I cannot thank the staff of this hotel enough. The rooms and entire hotel seem to be very clean. The beds are more comfortable than i expected. The air conditioner and heater in the rooms work amazingly well. Tv has really good channels. Coffee is delicious and it's available 24 hours. I will be recommending this hotel and holiday inn express as a brand to anyone that will listen. I hope to return back here with my fiancé many times in the future. The kindess, patience, and helpfulness of the staff have earned this hotel a lifelong customer. Thank you!
