  Got there to check in, 3 people in front of us, and the front desk person walked out and drove away. Waited almost 2 hours to check in. Should have just left at that point. Room was nice, but not real clean. Breakfast in the morning was not good. Pancake machine was out of order, juice dispenser was out of order. Biscuits and gravy, but no biscuits. This was at 8:30 in the morning. We said something but nobody brought out any biscuits. Went to check out and desk clerk couldn't even say good morning. We have stayed at this hotel many times, but that was our last time.

  I highly recommend this hotel. It is in a great location. The staff are very friendly. The rooms were very clean and the breakfast had a great selection. We will stay here again in the future.

  I would say its 3.5 stars. We did have some issues, and the GM/Manager did address the concerns when called, as did the front desk person at the time of one issue, other wasnt known at a time to address. Issues: room 408, heater would just run, way past the set point on the unit. at one point it was over 75 in there and it was down at 64 for heat. We eventually had to turn this off. They said this would be addressed with maitinance and that they are also in the process of hooking up the units to a wall thermostat. So TRY your heat and make sure it starts/stops at the right temp! Dont find out at 2am. The other issue was some stains on a matress pad, don't know why, but this has become very common across all brands/chains it seems. The GM/Manager mentioned she was going to address with housekeeping, and that thy were going to be ordering new units to start rotating things out too, that they couldnt 100% clean. Overall the location is great, the hotel is newer, but I think had a time where it wasn't as kept up as it maybe should have been, and now they are paying the price, but it sounds like they are going to try and get it back to where it should be for the age of the location. Will I stay again, probably not, because we live an hour away and wanted to try and sleep more before a very early wakeup call but with the issues, it turned out to probably cause less sleep than had we just drove, so lesson learned. Treat it like going to DSM airport, just suck it up and drive. Should you stay there? Sure, but check things, be honest and make sure stuff works before 2am. Nick

  Best hotel stay in a while. Comfortable beds, a great room layout, and hot water that was perfect for a much-needed soak in the tub. After a long travel day, it truly felt restful. Big thanks to Stephanie for being so kind and accommodating - she made the stay even better.
