The Location & Facility The hotel is perfectly situated in downtown Waterloo, making it a great base for exploring the area. Even with the sub-zero temperatures during my February visit, the stay was comfortable due to the excellent lift connectivity that links the rooms directly to the parking area. Note that car parking is available for a daily fee. The Room Experience My experience with the accommodations was a "tale of two rooms." Initial Check-in: I was originally allotted a handicapped-accessible room. As a professional traveler, I found the layout impractical for my needs. Unfortunately, the front desk was unable to resolve this initially. The Upgrade: After voicing my concerns through a review, the hotel moved me to a standard room which was fantastic. The room was notably spacious and featured a full kitchen with all the necessary cooking amenities—a huge plus for longer stays. Noise Issues: A significant drawback is the sound insulation. The rooms have connecting doors that let in external noise, and I could clearly hear footsteps and activity from the floor above. Amenities & Dining Fitness & Leisure: The pool and gym facilities are well-maintained and a highlight of the property. Breakfast: The options are quite limited and could use some enhancement. While the yogurt machine and cornflakes were great, there are very few vegan choices, and even my non-vegetarian friends struggled to find satisfying variety. Hotel Shop: The on-site convenience shop is lacking essentials like milk and yogurt. In room entertainment Non smart TV is outdated concept, must change needed in this Hotel, not acceptable Service & Staff This is where the hotel has the most room for improvement. Front Desk: The service felt a bit unprofessional. I was disappointed that the Reward Wheel was not offered at check-in, and when I asked to spin it at check-out, I was told it wasn't allowed. Housekeeping: Despite a 5-day stay, room service did not visit once. The Verdict The rooms (once you get the right one) and the location are excellent, but the service consistency and breakfast variety need work. It’s a solid choice if you value space and a kitchen, provided you don't mind a bit of noise. ============================= Updated review as initially Handicapped room was allocated which was not suitable for me. Room seems to be good and review will be updated till check out. Got in to a bad room which is not suitable for professional work where no suitable chair was present. The day of my check in coincided with some large booking which created messy situation looks like. Review will get updated if I get better room. Current room has kitchen, hall, bed, open wardrobe all in one place Suggest to add noise isolation strips like the one shared

What an outstanding hotel! It had an industrial feel and vibe. The parking is a bit confusing but they give you a slip of paper to follow. Make sure you follow it to the parking lot. Everyone that works here is very friendly and super helpful!Thank you!

I cannot remember the name of the front desk person who was working the evening of 1/26/26, but she was amazing! I was having surgery the next morning to repair 2 fractured vertebrae, so I was in a lot of pain that night. She went above and beyond to help me out. Her kindness meant a lot to me. Also, the room was super clean. The whole hotel impressed me. But the front desk clerk should be recognized for her outstanding service.

YOU NEED a $100 deposit on a card, before you can get a room even if paid online. SO FAR NO BED BUGS/BUGS or mice! The customer service desk employees are very friendly & helpful. I asked for a room on the top floor, yet apparently above floor 5 is another hotel for extended stays. I have the top floor they could give here. When you arrive there is only 2-3 spots to park and unload, their carts are SMALL so I needed 2, and had help from my dad. To actually park, he had to go around the block, and park in 1 of 4 reserved spots for employees (as I’m handicap) & I had to give the car info to the desk clerk so it would not be towed. When I got to the room, it was a decent sized king bed, pretty clean (I cleaned more as I have OCD), I checked the mattress 1st thing I do at hotels…no sign of bed bugs. There’s two bedside tables with lamps (no usb ports bring a charge block), a drawer and they are clean. The desk & chair are decent, it’s winter so don’t know about A/C yet the heat is good. The black out shades, 2 of them are good apart from the sides that let some light in. Due to the train coming through, and sirens I bought a Walmart delivery with a fan to drown it out. They won’t let deliveries to the room as you need the key card to have the elevator work. So they will call you when a delivery arrives. The mini fridge is larger and works great, there is a small freezer that holds a few frozen meals & keeps them frozen. Microwave works great, tv is maybe 42 inches, will allow you to set up a Roku or gaming system & the remote has input buttons (rare at most other hotels). There’s only two garbage cans, the one in the bathroom, and by the desk. The one by the desk, is divided with recycle/garbage, I removed them and put their bag from the hangers in it; worked great. I had to wash clothes, so went back to the front desk to ask where that was, oh my word, back up to the 5th floor, down to the end of the hall, taking another elevator down to the pool floor & right before the pool (full of kids & parents) is the laundry. You need quarters they will give at the front desk if you have cash. It’s $1.50 to wash, and to dry it’s a $1. The washers were smaller so I used both, takes about an hour. I only needed one dryer as they are bigger, yet take near 2 hours for one dry. I needed two so 4 hours to dry 2 grocery sized plastic bags & a winter coat. The shower was okay, water temp was good, the tiny bottles of what they offer for shampoo/conditioner won’t work for long hair so bring your own. I forgot my hair dryer, they have one yet it’s not as powerful as mine but did get the job done. The bathroom is pretty small, no night light, toilet works yet seems like it should be updated soon, & it also moves when you sit or get up. The lid is not dirty yet is scratched up. The floor is not real wood yet it’s nice, the brick wall I don’t like yet it’s not that bad. The bed is VERY comfortable yet the blankets are thin so you may need to ask for another, I just folded it in 1/2 which worked well. Pillows are very comfortable, it was very quiet (yet it’s a weekend with not much going on). There’s a restaurant/bar downstairs, sometimes they have concerts…I know as a friend of mine had one here years ago. They do serve a buffet breakfast yet it stopped at 10am & I was too tired to get up. I think they stop at 9 am on weekdays. There’s vending machines and an ice maker outside my room which is nice, yet the ice maker you need to push a button to use. When going in/out of the room the door slams LOUDLY so I try to shut it softly not to disturb others. If I had to stay here again I would, yet I would rather stay in a hotel with better parking, not like a huge puzzle to get around & not downtown by the train.
