    I’m a gold member for Hampton / Hilton We got to the hotel at 1 am and the desk agent told us they did the night audit. Was told we could not rent a room until 3 pm the next day. We drove an extra hour to get to a Hampton to be turned away. Customer service said they had several rooms available

    I stay at this hotel often for work and have consistently had a positive experience. The hotel is always clean, the breakfast is enjoyable, and the staff is welcoming and professional. A special shoutout to Riva at the front desk — Riva is always friendly, greets me with a smile, and makes check-in a pleasant experience every time. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, which are much needed given the age of the property, and it’s good to see improvements being made. Even during this time, my stays have remained comfortable. I’m happy to continue staying here and would recommend it to other business travelers or anyone just needing a nice place to lay your head.

    I reserved a room for work and ended up not needing the room. This hotel wouldn't cancel the reservation and instead still charged my credit card for the room. Then, to add to their terrible business practices, they did not send a receipt. This is a horrible hotel. Do not stay here. Shady business practices must be fought back on and this hotel is exactly described that way. I talked to Hilton corporate about this situation as well and they were unable to help. Avoid this hotel. They are snakes.

    Great staff and service! I was a guest from 10/27-10/31 and I felt like a guest. The staff recommended excellent restaurants. When you are away from home and working on the road, this is where you should stay in Ottumwa. The team made great breakfast every day. If I ever pass this way again, I will surely stay at the Ottumwa Hampton Inn. Very friendly and genuine staff!

    Better stay than the last several.times. room was decent, tv worked, rug was still pretty dirty...my white socks were black. Pool was good
