My daughter made a reservation so her daughter could go swimming for her birthday. When she arrived she was told she and family couldn't stay because they were from Fort Dodge. Then my daughter from Colorado and family made reservation and prepaid for her room. Because she has dual residence they would not let her stay with out a significant raise in her rates then refused to let her stay. Also would not return her money. She was told she would have to go through the 3rd party. Once again very poor hospitality and poor reflection on our town

If the front-desk person hadn't advised that $25 would be released back to me I would never have known to look for it. The money was not released. I reached out to the hotel 39 days after my stay, then the funds were released. BUT - It has been 2 weeks since the hotel released the funds and my bank has no record of the transaction. Hotel staff no longer returning calls or emails. Nearly 2 months since my stay and I still do not have the $. Hotel staff has gone silent.

I know its more than twice as much as anything else in the area, but I promise you, you are not that cheap. If you want to relax in a level of comfort even remotely close to home, unless that home is a third world country, stay here. You'll regret it otherwise.
