If you can find a different place.....please do so!! This place was AWFUL!! From check in to check out nothing went smoothly!! We upgraded to what? I have no clue ..the t.v. did not work, the phones did not work? Fire safety? The overwhelming smell of varnish in our hallway and rooms were overpowering! I politely mentioned it to the front desk as I did several others but Nothing was even checked on!!! Save your time and money and drive on by!! Literally save yourself a headache!

Just thought some things were not Holiday Inn quality. Elevators have not been cleaned in days. You can tell. Tub had stains. Breakfast was ok but coffee was very bitter. No juice. As I ate people were asking for items that were out, coffee, juice, creamers, etc. Lady working the breakfast area could only say "I don't do breakfast. Breakfast is not my thing. I'm just putting stuff out." Seemed not to care at all. NO shampoo or body wash in either dispenser in shower. Really disappointing. At check-in Was given an upgrade so that's was great until I went to clean up for the day.

Rude check in experience. She only paid attention to me when there was nothing more entertaining going on elsewhere. Musty room. Thin linens. Really low resolution cable TV. Typical old HIX.

This is a budget hotel that hits below what I've come to expect from a HI Express. Think a Super 8 with a different sign. Was given a ground floor room that was like the Seinfeld episode with Kramer's room next to the chicken joint. The high wattage exterior light used to illuminate the building shined on our window. The blackout curtain didn't block it out. There were holes in it. The sheer curtain was gone, just the rod and hand-rod remained. The floor has a crack with about a 1/2" vertical separation across the room. Fun to walk on. The walls are amongst the thinnest I've experienced. You can hear normal conversations and snoring from the neighboring rooms. I could hear three other room's A/C units cycling through the night. Thats a first for me. The floor above us (our ceiling) transmitted every movement from the guests above us. It sounded like a Riverwalk performance at times. Plumbing drain noises could be heard from surrounding rooms. At least we know they flush. I will say the beds were comfortable and clean, a minor consolation for a distracted night's sleep. I'll not return here as there are other choices in the area with better build quality for sound control. Jeeze, you can not only hear, but feel the door slams from down the hall. Momma always said you get what you pay for. I'd give another $40+ for a better night's rest.
