  We stayed here for a couple days at the end of February for an event. The check-in was very smooth. Even though the elevators were kind of slow, it got the job done. I ordered a ribeye steak and it was the best steak I've ever had!! The breakfast every morning was also very good!! We love staying here and can't wait for next year!!!

  Great spot for groups of kids! We went with a large contingent and they swam, played ping pong, and were kids, without the typical worries in a hotel.

  Often times the food at some hotels is either hit or miss, but the Parmesan Encrusted Chicken with Parmesan Sauce from the Holiday Inn on Fleur in Des Moines was phenomenal. The temperature, the portion size, freshness, the side dish of green bean casserole, the seasoning and the overall presentation was eye appealing as well as tasty. Everything was on point — very good food.

  This property is the absolute epitome to f a “diamond in the rough”. The rooms are nice enough. Above average, not super nice but appropriate for the rate / area I’d say. Very comfortable bed. Shower was AMAZING. Water pressure / shower head was excellent. Height on the head was perfect as well for a tall guy like myself and is fully adjustable. Shower curtain was awesome because it had a transparent section at eye level which lets light in and with the mirror etc it makes the bathroom / shower feel much bigger while you’re in there. Also the water heats up very quickly. The pool is awesome. Basketball hoop is too high. Table tennis and lounge area is cool. Bar/grill overlooking pool/lounge area is awesome. Staff is friendly. Spa absolutely needs a renovation. One of the few disappointments of our stay. You couldn’t pay me to go in that again. It’s like being in a shopping center fountain and it wasn’t even hot. It was marked out of order of the following morning. Would stay again :-) The Jacuzzi absolutely needs a renovation. It was by far the biggest of a few disappointments. It was absolutely disgusting and felt like being in a shopping center fountain. It wasn’t hot and was marked out of order the following morning when we checked out. It also is directly up against the wall, which is shared with the bathrooms, which we found to be a little unsettling on top of all the other issues. ING or whoever owns this particular property in the hotel group needs to dump some money into it. We loved our stay but would he hesitate to come back because it was that bad. We couldn’t get in the shower and clean ourselves fast enough after getting out of that nasty thing.
