Old linens and towels. Cleanliness could be improved a lot. There was some kind of bone on the floor that I had to wrestle away from my dog when we first entered. Saw a centipede in the bathroom. Breakfast was ok. Seems like this place was once really nice but has been in decline for a while now. Definitely not worth the price given the competition in the area. Also there was a lot of noise with people in the hallway through the evening- the sound insulation could be a lot better.

Ive stayed here several times. Immaculate rooms, very nice and helpful staff. Beautiful pool and recreational area, dog friendly, very nice breakfast.
Sadly restaurant in house closed but its 5 minutes from the Machine Shed which is 90% of the reason I plan stop in Davenport ion my yearly transcon drive.
Nice folks and very helpful with my disabled husband

Called around 6:16pm having late night at a job site I was seeking a hotel room with a jacuzzi I was told none were available witch is alright I had then asked if they had one in pool area etc and was told we don’t have hot tubs only jacuzzis but yes we do but it will not be available tonight witch is fine. What provoked me to write a poor review is when I had said that’s unfortunate well I really appreciate your help thank you so much and then was just hung up on. Javi was the gentleman I spoke to.
We absolutely will be staying with this hotel again in the future. I only avoided giving a full 5-star rating on all areas because of minor room details that would be addressed by a full deep clean.
The room was extremely affordable considering the amenities provided. Other guests may find the older Jacuzzi area less appealing, but it -was- clean. We brought our own tub jet cleaner to ensure the most hygienic soaking experience, but the results we got showed that was an almost entirely unnecessary step to have taken. The water stayed basically as clear as it began, with virtually zero expelled residue - which is not the usual result in my hotel experience, especially with an older model tub. The bathroom was nicely stocked with towels, that included bigger than the average bath towels. Many rooms only provide 2 of each bathroom linen, and this was a welcome change from that. We did not need any of our extras from home.
The blackout curtains were absolutely the best choice for the courtyard window, as this window faced east. I didn't even need to use the clip I travel with to make sure the curtains close far enough to keep dawn light from being too intense.
I don't know if our weekday stay was responsible or not, but we had zero of the usual and expected sounds coming from sharing the facility with other hotel guests. It was almost quiet enough to feel as though we were the only guests in the entire hotel. People walking through the courtyard were our only actual signs that we weren't alone. Our room was on a corridor on one side as well as directly near an exit door, but I never even heard anyone coming or going despite knowing they were.
It did take a while to get the room up to temp - this was an enormous room! But the ac/heat unit pulled it off. It was easy to adjust and circulated the air well.
The uncarpeted floor did get a little slippery feeling at times, such as after the Jacuzzi had been running, but it's by far the most sanitary option in my opinion - far cleaner than carpeted rooms, and the perfect antifungal choice for a humid situation.
There were minor details that would be addressed during a deep clean, like dusty lamp bases, and a few bathroom issues that included water runoff out of the tub area when showering, and the toilet occasionally running after flushing.
The sofa bed would not pull out for us but we were not truly planning on using it. We had planned to use the linens from it for an upright sleeper, and were checking the bed mechanism for ease of use, for future reference. The sofa bed linens were unfortunately absolutely and completely unacceptable for use due to "presents" leftover from previous guests.
I'm pretty sure staff would have been super apologetic and very happy to provide them for us but I personally was not up to the interaction at the time, and we always travel with extras.

First, I want to say that I’ve stayed at so many hotels and this is the first complaint I’ve felt the need to make. Second, that decision did not come lightly because I brought the problem to the staff’s attention and maintenance was sent in immediately, but it wasn’t taken care of. Third, I understand staff is probably not well paid and who would want to clean up after a party of toddlers with capable parents who should have kept the area clean. However, after this pool/birthday party, there were hair clumps and chicken finger pieces all around the pool area and inside the pool. So bad that even the warm temps couldn’t distract my 9 year old daughter from how unsanitary it was. When I let staff know how bad it was, they immediately called for help and the person who swept up looked at a two foot area, swept a few pieces up and left. When you have to pay so much for not even 24 hours, a decent pool area is expected and maybe the hotel shouldn’t allow parties if they can not appropriately pay their staff, provide enough staff, or keep standards up to par. Rooms are what you get I suppose. Definitely not clean, need fresh paint, but could be worse.
