  The rooms are nice and clean but the AC which is a unit under the window is extremely loud. It also shuts off in the middle of the night. I have stayed here twice in different rooms and could not sleep because it would get so hot. The window doesn’t open so you can’t get relief there. I believe it is motion sensing so at night it shuts off if you don’t move. Unfortunate as this hotel would be nice otherwise, but literally cannot sleep so can’t stay here anymore

  One of the Best Hotels You’ll Find in Ankeny, Iowa! Our group from the City of Atlanta’s Department of Recreation (61 of us!) stayed at the Home2 Suites in Ankeny for the National Senior Games (55 and over), and I can honestly say — this hotel is top tier in every way. First, I have to give a huge shout-out to the incredible staff. Mr. Brian Spraggins, Ms. Carlie Manrose, and Mr. David (I didn’t catch his last name) — my big three! They were nothing short of amazing, as flexible and helpful as Stretch Armstrong. They truly went above and beyond to ensure our group had everything we needed and more. Their customer service was almost too good to be true — welcoming, thoughtful, and consistently attentive. The location couldn’t be better. Right behind the hotel is The District, packed with restaurants, entertainment, and spots to unwind. There was even a free concert in the park next to the hotel — including a silent concert, which was a first for me and a total blast! Let’s talk amenities — from the out-of-this-world breakfast (the breakfast potatoes were my absolute favorite!) to the pool table, cozy lounge, and relaxing bar, everything about this place felt high-end yet welcoming. The cleaning staff? Like ninjas — everything spotless, yet you barely saw them. Always working with a smile. Even when the elevator went down once (it was a busy weekend with two wedding parties and senior athletes from all over the country), the staff handled everything smoothly. In my opinion, this is a true 5-star experience. Whether you’re traveling through, planning a group stay, or just want a weekend getaway or staycation — Home2 Suites Ankeny is where you want to be. Highly, highly recommended!
