Top notch experience you’d expect from the Four Seasons. We appreciated the additional complementary programs such as lei making, frond weaving, Hulu lessons, and outrigger canoeing. An experience worth its own mention was the bee keeping experience with Taylor! We had no idea what to expect and we loved the chance to do something new and different that brings awareness to the environment around us, especially in Hawaii. Kudos to the Four Seasons for supporting such a cool experience and props to the culinary team for serving up a great spread highlighting the honey from the hives on site! All great memories we’ll be talking about for some time and hope to visit again soon.

Overall we felt that this resort didn't live up to the name. It seems families are a bit of an afterthought and the focus is on adults only. This might be a great hotel once construction is complete , but it's not worth the gamble for us. For the cost there are much nicer resorts avalaible on the same island. Pros: - Location. Easy to get around west Maui. - Housekeeping. Stellar job & follow-up - Breakfast. We had gone through a travel agent, which credits breakfast. It was a really well rounded buffet. - Game room. During the tropical storm it helped keep our kiddo entertained. Cons: - Short-staffed. We constantly saw garbage around the facility and pool attendees not around (which required to get our own towels). Additionally there was 0 follow-up (outside of housekeeping) on our needs. Any other 5 star resort would have multiple check ins to ensure our needs were met. - Upselling. On check-in the from desk was trying to upsell us to a bigger room. That's tacky and not inline with how a 5 star resort should behave. - Valet parking. I don't mind paying for parking but on more than one occasion our car was left outside as the garage was full. For $60/ night , you'd expect the vehicles would be left in a protected environment. - Communication. Our Luau booked through the resort was cancelled due to the storms (understandable), but I didn't get notification until I asked how location/time. Concierge job is to be proactive in anticipating needs. That didn't happen. - Pool. The fountain pool & waterfall pool are very underwhelming for a resort. Those are the only ones available to families. The adults only pool looked awesome though and you could tell that is where they invested money into. - Layout. The facility was under construction (which was not communicated prior to arrival). The komo restaurant monopolized the lounge main floor area which limited seating in the main area. There was no dedicated coffee shop (which even 3 star hotels have). The sundries shop was in the size of a closet with very limited items. The list kind of goes on, but you could tell they didn't consider the impact the construction would have on their guests. - Cost. We knew the hotel would be expensive, but for the price it didn't behave like a 5 star hotel. Additionally everything at the hotel was heavily marked up even for hotel & Hawaii standards (i.e. A Dr Pepper cost 8 dollars). It felt like they were purposely just milking their guests for money.

We had an amazing time at this resort. The staff made it magical. Requests were met quickly and fulfilled accurately. The only thing that didn’t meet our expectation was the room. It was loud every single night. For a five star hotel the rooms should be quieter. Outside of that the beach, the restaurants, the service, gym and everything were great.

We just got home from a week stay at this resort and it was absolutely fantastic. From the moment you step on the property everything you see is beautiful with amazing attention to detail. The employees were extremely friendly and helpful without exception. Our garden view suite was huge, modern and super clean with every amenity you could imagine. We tried all the restaurants on the property and each one was great. Ferraros is probably the best. The breakfast buffet is expensive but it’s so good that it’s worth it! Every minute spent on the property felt like a dream from lounging by the pools to snorkeling on the beach with sea turtles and whales jumping up in the distance. I can say we have never been so sad to leave a hotel at the end of our trip and if we come back to Maui there is no way we will stay anywhere else.
