In my opinion this was the closest thing to a traditional luau experience in Oahu. We purchased the original luau package. FYI: If you know that you are going early enough keep looking on their website for special promotions. We we attended the show on a Sunday in February the skies were blue the temperature was just right and even though a little bit of rain moved in on the later part of the evening; it didn't last long and the show went on as scheduled. We got our money's worth. The meal was very filling and we even had the opportunity to go back for seconds. The pulled pork was tender and tasty. For dessert there was a vanilla cake that everyone seemed to love. There were other things to do around the grounds such as getting beautiful temporary tattoos, flowers made for your hair, lapel or pocket, learning some of the dances, and there were photo ops everywhere. There were even beautiful Parrots that you were able to hold and take pictures with. The entire show was narrated very beautifully. The performers gave us an in depth glimpse of native Hula dancing and Fire twirling. Depending on what package you purchase you even received a souvenir. This luau is located on a beach in the perfect location not at a hotel or mall the scenery was unmatched. If you were looking for an authentic family picnic style luau please don't hesitate to book.

Great luau. Excellent food - pork is cooked underground the old fashioned way. I think I had 4 helpings (after everyone else ate of course.). Don’t mind the drive in past the industrial zone. Once you’re on the grounds it’s beautiful and calm and cute.

I want to start by saying the night we went, the crowd was medium in size and flat in enthusiasm. The location, as you are driving to it, is out in an industrial park and a bit odd. However, once you walk inside the grounds you are completely transformed into an authentic, lush oasis. The views of the ocean, sunset and lighthouse were INCREDIBLE. The show was entertaining and fun, and the announcer did a fantastic job. As I mentioned, unfortunately, the crowd in attendance (mid-week) wasn't very responsive to anything she called out for them to do. Not her fault! The two drink tickets per person was fine - drinks were Free Pour and delicious. Price for additional drinks was on par with what you would pay at any bar on the islands. The food was my only "so-so" part of my review, not having any "wow" factor in flavor, but it was good and plentiful (all you can eat). And if you have seen the live-action "Lilo & Stitch", you can immediately recognize this was the location that segment was filmed. They simply changed the Germaine's sign in the movie! Luas's in Hawaii used to be a MUST DO. Most of our party of 6 really enjoyed the evening, but we all agreed that it was probably a one and done experience for us. Glad we chose Germaine's for that one shot.

A must see for your first hawaiian experience! Food is good, atmosphere is fun and the show is awesome. The line for drinks was a definite negative as the line was slow and long! But you go for the show! Very entertaining, however now that we have experienced it, I wouldn't go again because of the cost. But my friends and family had a great time!

Stay away from temporary tribal tattoos. They will leave your clothing sharpie stained. This dropped it from 3 to 2 stars.
Otherwise an okay experience. Probably a little better than you’ll find in Waikiki but just okay. This was our 3rd ever Luau and it wasn’t quite up to the standard of the others.
