Should do better for the price asked.
I’d like to share some feedback on my recent stay at Aulani, specifically for international travelers.
The Aulani app is not available on European app stores. But even more surprising is the photo pass pricing: international guests are charged €30 (roughly $33–34), while American guests pay just $25. The only workaround is to change your device’s region settings, but doing so requires canceling all your active Apple subscriptions — which is simply not acceptable.
Beyond that, be warned: for a nightly rate approaching $900 USD, the level of service falls short of international standards — even compared to other “premium” Disney hotels around the world.
• The room includes a mini-fridge, but no beverages or water bottles are provided. There isn’t even a water fountain near the rooms (unlike Disney hotels in California).
• No bathrobes or slippers are provided in the room.
• No houskeeping service every day.
• In the evenings, the resort is swarmed with small mosquitoes, and no insect repellent is made available (unlike the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel).
• During our visit, the main pool was closed. We received no advance notice, no mention of it at check-in, and no apology for the inconvenience. For a hotel of this caliber, that level of indifference is simply inexcusable.
That said, the cast members are truly fantastic. Their kindness and genuine hospitality were a real highlight of our stay.
To the hotel management: there is significant room for improvement in your services.
International travelers, consider yourselves warned — this hotel does not live up to its premium billing.

As always, Disney attractions are extremely well maintained, safe, efficient, clean, decently staffed..... AND very pricey! $40 a day to park a car. $10 for the same $6 Starbucks coffee. $5 for a 16 oz soda. $30 to rent a $30 snorkel a day. No cash allowed. Wait times are often long at every checkout and its not even crazy busy in mid April. No room service. No streaming your favorite internet channels on the room tv. This resort is well engineered to take your life savings 🤑 and some how make you feel good about it. Magical. But it truly is a super nice property. For me though, it wasn't worth it in the end though. This was a 40 year anniversary trip with no children tagging along. Kids would definitely change the narrative. Both of us could use a chiropractor every morning from fighting the super soft mattress. There were quite a few older couples as ourselves, mostly all sitting around 🤣. Sure would be nice to have a theater or a putt putt course. So now I can say....been there done that, aint never going back. I'll stick to their cruise packages

Aulani a Disney Resort was a lot of fun. We felt it was a much better value compared to the neighboring resorts. The resort is absolutely beautiful and they put a lot of attention into the details. Upon arrival, we were greeted by friendly employees. Here are the pros and cons:
Pros:
-The lazy river was a lot of fun and it was great on rainy days.
- The two water slides are a blast. That was our favorite thing.
- the adults only hot tub has an incredible view of the ocean
- The spa is top notch.
- it was fun to meet some Disney characters.
- They had a car rental location on site, which was nice since you’re far away from most tourist attractions.
- There are some restaurants across the street that are easy to get to which provided more eating options.
Cons:
- It is overcrowded. If you want a beach chair, you have to be at the pool an hour before it opens.
- They do not have enough inner tubes at the lazy river/ slide. They really could double the amount of tubes and be just fine.
- it is a Disney resort, but there’s very little Disney branding there. We saw more Disney vacation club logos than Mickey Mouse. As a matter of fact, the only Mickey Mouse statue is at the Disney vacation club area where they try to sell you a time share so if you go there and get your picture, you’ll have to talk to a sales person. I was not a fan of the money we spent to be at a place where they are trying to sell you a time share.
- It was located far away from most things you can do outside of the resort.
- The beach didn’t have any big waves since they had a bay. that’s an advantage if you have little ones, but for teenagers it made it less fun.
- We were with a large group so getting into a restaurant was really challenging since most restaurants did not take reservations

We had a blast staying at Disney Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa during the Holy Week break. We brought the whole family here as a beach getaway from the busy city life in Manila and we also needed to use our DVC otherwise it will be terminated. We are a family of 5 and we got a 2 bedroom villa with 3 bathrooms and it was good enough to fit all of us comfortably. We did a lot of activities like star gazing, dining in their Disney themed restaurants for breakfast & lunch and also tried formal dining experience. It can get a bit pricey but honestly with it for the experience. My favorite staff member was Joe he is Filipino and super friendly and nice and it was cool because we could speak Tagalog with him. The he waterpark is the best part of me we did all slides in 1 day, even if the lines can get long it was still very fun. Me and my girls really loved it except for my wife who stopped after the first slide haha. The rooms are a bit in the outdated side though. I noticed some rust in the kitchen area and the appliances and tech feel a bit old already. But overall the design of the hotel is also really nice, I like the vibe a lot. I also kept going to the connvience store in the lobby to buy snacks and drinks. Overall I would definitely stay here again if we had more time, maybe 2 weeks next time because 1 week wasn’t enough, as my daughter said hehe.

Hello,
I would like to share a very disappointing experience we had during a short visit to your resort.
We were there for only about an hour, just to sit and have a cocktail. We parked in your parking facility, which is already very expensive.
When we tried to leave, we ran into an issue with our parking ticket. We attempted to pay both at the exit and at the kiosk, but nothing worked. During this time, we were sent back and forth between different staff members no less than four times, without anyone actually resolving the issue.
Instead of a quick and simple exit, we ended up waiting around 40 minutes, frustrated and stressed, until the gate was finally opened for us.
This was a very unpleasant experience—especially for such a basic service, and certainly not what you would expect from a resort of this standard, particularly at these prices.
I hope this issue will be addressed so other guests do not have to go through a similar experience.
Best regards,
Aviv
