  The Four Seasons Hualālai is truly exceptional. From the moment you arrive, everything feels elevated, peaceful, and beautifully curated. The resort itself is stunning — lush gardens, ocean views, and a layout that makes it feel both expansive and intimate at the same time. Every restaurant offers thoughtfully crafted menus, fresh island ingredients, and impeccable service. Whether you’re enjoying a relaxed lunch by the pool or a refined dinner overlooking the ocean, every meal feels like an experience rather than just dining. Getting to share this experience with my parents while they were visiting made it even more special — it was the perfect place to create beautiful memories together. Four Seasons Hualālai is a true Big Island gem and a place you’ll want to return to again and again.

  The location could not have been better. The service was outstanding, and the food was well prepared and plentiful. It is a wonderfully secluded spot to relax and fully enjoy the water, sunshine, and beautiful Kona weather.

  "I spent six days here starting December 1st and had a wonderful stay. The weather was absolutely perfect (10/10!), and the atmosphere felt truly magical, quiet, and romantic. A huge thank you to the staff, who were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The only downside was the food, which unfortunately didn't live up to the rest of the experience. Overall, a beautiful getaway."

  Shame on you Four Seasons. And shame on me for staying 4 times since 2018 and hoping for improvement. It is far from a luxury property. Mediocre is an overstatement. Rooms are old, worn, tired, dark. Carpets and upholstery are dirty, worn out. Mattress in need of replacement from bodies lying in the same spot. Walls so thin you eavesdrop on your neighbors conversations and their tv programming. Cockroaches on previous trips in my room. Fitness room is dank, old and dated. Same for spa. The same first generation, mostly broken and unusable, Peloton bikes … look like the same broken down ones from my stay in 2018. Bathrooms around property dirty, dark, musty. The food is not edible but prices certainly don’t reflect the Applebee level cuisine. The 400+ on site residents, time share occupants, etc have equal access to all hotel amenities, fitness center, etc. making access to amenities stressful and difficult. Other than the beauty of the ocean front and natural surroundings and the staff are, for the most part, friendly, there are few other positives about this resort. It needs a total and complete overhaul. If you’re expecting a Four Seasons level experience, you will be sorely disappointed. Never again for me.

The spa experience was nothing short of transformative; a treatment there miraculously relieved a decade of chronic shoulder stiffness, leaving me rejuvenated. The staff’s genuine hospitality anticipates every need, making every interaction feel personal and effortless.
