The hotel rooms are nice, we had a great ocean view on the 36th floor. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable.
Besides the room, the rest of the hotel feels like an absolute scam. The hotel has little up charges for every single thing, including us being charged $50 for unreturned towels (we returned them but their automated machines don’t work properly).
Dining options are convenient but extremely expensive with very disappointing food.
Valet service was nice and the attendants were all great.
I get that this is Waikīkī, but for Hilton I really expected a better experience.

Fraudulent branding.
Despite the name, the spa is run as a completely separate company. Spa charges cannot be billed to your room, do not code as Hilton purchases, and are treated as unrelated transactions - even though the spa is on-site, accessed through the hotel, and marketed as part of the resort.
This caused a $200 credit issue with a Hilton credit card that works at other Hilton resorts without issue. Both the hotel and spa disclaimed responsibility.
If you plan to use the spa, know upfront: it is not functionally part of Hilton operations. That’s fine, but it should be clearly disclosed, especially for a property branded as a “Resort & Spa.”
The lack of transparency and accountability is unacceptable for a Hilton-branded property.

I had a very frustrating experience with the service and management at this hotel.
I spent nearly an entire morning trying to get answers to two extremely basic questions: the dinner buffet hours and the price. I called the front desk multiple times, yet each call was transferred to a line where no one answered. I was repeatedly left waiting over something that should have taken seconds to clarify.
Eventually, I had no choice but to go downstairs. Although the front desk line itself wasn’t long, every staff member appeared overwhelmed and busy, and after waiting for a while it became clear I would not be helped anytime soon. I then went directly to the restaurant, only to encounter another long queue. I tried asking staff at the neighboring pastry counter, but they dismissed me and told me to ask the restaurant instead.
When I noticed a bar staff member standing near the entrance, I attempted to step in briefly just to ask one simple question. At that point, a female staff member at the restaurant entrance aggressively stopped me and scolded me, insisting I was not allowed to enter and must wait in line. Even after I explained that I only needed to ask one question, she refused and stated that everything had to be handled “strictly in order.”
After waiting in line for the third time, I finally received an answer at the front desk—when a staff member simply pulled out a printed dinner flyer from the counter and handed it to me. This raises an obvious question: if this information was already printed and readily available, why was no one able to answer me during my multiple calls to the front desk?
This was not an isolated issue. Upon arrival, my luggage was unloaded from the car, but when the bell desk attempted to register my name in their system in order to provide luggage service, they were unable to find my name at all. For a hotel operating at this price level, this kind of basic coordination failure is unacceptable.
I have stayed at Hilton properties all over the world. The service and management at this hotel are unacceptable and do not deserve to carry the Hilton name. My room rate was close to USD 1000 per night, yet the facilities felt outdated and downright primitive. This is easily one of the poorest Hilton properties I have experienced.

I would not describe this hotel as a resort. The location is good, you can walk to the beach, but it’s not a resort. Note the parking is $55 a day and you are expected to tip every time you want the car out. Make sure to carry cash for this. There are no alternatives for parking in the area and the hotel does not offer self parking. The service was overall quite bad. The hotel details say “resort fee includes chair, surfboards and body board rentalS” implying plural, you get 1 single rental a day for $45. Towels at the pool usually empty so you have to grab them downstairs. The person checking us in was friendly, but every other interaction was odd. Asking simple questions like “where is the gym” with a response being “didn’t you get a map?” Instead of just pointing to the gym. I stayed at an Airbnb 4 days prior to this and would pick the Airbnb any day over this hotel. Overall not worth the price. Sad I wasted my points on this.

Hilton waikiki resort and spa
Check in was seamless the receptionist was knowledgable and informed us about multiple things to do /places to eat 8/10
The carpet in the hall ways proved difficult with 3 suitcases each so if you have numerous cases help maybe the easier option.4/10
The room was spotless on arrival could still smell the cleaning agent. The room was spacious two queen beds small balcony with table n 2 chairs. Tv/fridge/dvd player all great. Rent a dvd option is great lots to choose from. Just make sure you return it. 8/10
The iron however must not get used or inspected as when we went to use this it spit out black gunk and grit. So be careful with that. We did call for a new one and someone came within 20 minutes gave us a new one and took the old one.
The lady cleaning our room was fantastic! she was there 9 out of 10 days of our stay nothing was too much trouble, we gave her a great tip for all her hard work! 10/10
The pool area does not get the sun all day so if you are a sun worshipper be aware there is times the pool area is fully shaded but it is clean - we were there December 3-13 and there was no fighting for a bed so to speak. In the height of summer that could be an issue. The pool area has 2 cabanas ($100) and 6 day beds ($45) these are an extra charge and were never used by anyone in our 10 day trip. Extra loungers that are free would be much more useful to customers in such a small space in our opinion. There is a small smokers section for those who need it. The pool bar offers drinks and snacks the service was friendly and efficient it is cashless so need card or phone with you unless you charge to room. The food menu was okay price wise (chicken tenders and fries $18) the drinks prices are elevated but i guess that is expected in the hotel bar (bucket of 4 small cans of beer or seltzer 330ml ish $25) 7/10
You can collect you pool towels at the pool using ur room card but Be aware that you have to return your towels as there is a $25 fee if you do not.
We used the main stairs daily unfortunately these do not get cleaned as often as you would think. We reported spill marks on the main stairs on the second day. It was like someone spilled their cup of tea or coffee, 9 days later the spillage marks are still there. To some this might seem pedantic but this hotel is a Hilton costing approximately (AUD $3967) (USD $2580) (GPB £1929) for 10 nights bed n breakfast a clean lobby and staircase should be standard. 1/10
Be aware they offer grand vacation timeshares in their lobby unless you want to waste 1/2 a day of your holiday do not sign up it is not only 2 hours. Also do not let the staff “inflate” your income to make you eligible to sign up. They Conservatively start from USD $30,000 so if you have that to invest in your future holidays this will get you the lowest levels of Hilton timeshare points available. This is pushed in the lobby while you enquire about day trips out. 1/10
Breakfast which was included in the cost of our stay was basic there was not much variety but there was fresh fruit each day. 5/10
Overall our stay was a 7/10
