I stayed at the hotel over MLK weekend when the hotel parking lot is blocked annually for a parade. The hotel's announcement of this disruption was unsympathetic to the inconvenience it caused guests—we had to remove our cars by 8:30 AM. The hotel offered no assistance to mitigate the disruption: no list of alternate parking locations, no extra checkout staff to help guests retrieve their cars before the deadline. I was not impressed with their lack of thoughtfulness or customer service.

I am disappointed in your customer service and policies. For 2 years we have been trying to book this vacation. None of the dates can accommodate us for 2 years and now you are charging a $20 cancellation fee after we prepaid over $800. This seems like predatory practices.

Place is amazing! Just wish there was microwaves is the rooms and fulltime refrigerators. So much food waste. I believe they are set like this so people maybe swing for suites. But for how nice the place is I still believe some conviences should still be available to guests. The only microwave available is from the DiamondHead General Store, and the microwave is in the back and you have to buy something in the store. Kind of shady but the bro who works there is nice and does it nicely. I liked the property and will be returning but maybe next time I'll try the owners towers. The rooms at the Grand Islander are amazing.
