For the price point, this hotel was great. We just needed an overnight, but we got a really great spot to start our vacation. Very friendly staff and a nice restaurant with a great happy hour downstairs. Very convenient location to shopping too!

I had a horrible experience with the valet here (there is no self parking, it’s mandate to use valet). I had an emergency and they refused to understand my concern. They take forever to get the car. And the rooms are average as well. Other similarly priced hotels in this area have better service.

The front staff member was unprofessional and immature. I came back to hotel to check on charges to room. I wanted to pay for parking for the one night at $60. Instead she wanted to charge for 5+ night for an amount over $300. I corrected her that is was just one night. She copped an attitude. I paid the amount owed. By the time I got to room, she added another $139+ onto the card used for a one time charge. I returned to front desk. She told me that it was a computer glitch and I would have to settle the situation in the morning. I asked for a receipt for the charge and she would not oblige. Then she told me it was an authorized

We spent 11 nights for our second visit at the Hilton Garden Inn in Waikiki. The hotel is in a nice location across from the back entrance to the International Market Place right across from Target. The front desk staff was generally average outside of Barry who was very friendly and eager to provide local recommendations. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job and they were very friendly. Free coffee and tea was available in the morning which was a nice touch although they ran out of tea around Day 6 and it was never replenished. We had a daily Food & Beverage credit due to our Hilton Honors status but found the food at TR Fire Grill to be mediocre at best and Shaka’s Pool Bar could not be charged to the room due to technical issues (Brie, the server at Shaka’s was great, by the way). Fortunately we were able to use the F&B credit at Holoholo Market in the hotel which had food items and merchandise. The staff there were again only average but it was a handy store to have on the premises. Laundry facilities on the second floor were very helpful ($4.25 per wash and $4.25 per dry) as was the complimentary SPF 50 lotion by the pool.

When we first checked in, the receptionist told us that everything was fully paid and that only a deposit would be taken. When we checked out, we were again told that everything was paid and that the deposit would be released. We even received an invoice showing a $0 balance. However, five days later, money was taken from our credit card without any notification or explanation. This is extremely unprofessional and very suspicious. On top of that, the “breakfast included” offer is misleading. You provide a $20 voucher per person, but when we went to the restaurant, many of the usual menu options were not available. There were no healthy options at all, except for a small bowl of pineapple. When we asked if we could have boiled eggs instead of a full meal, the request was refused. As a result, we ended up eating pineapple bowls every morning and then going elsewhere to buy proper food. This felt like a trap and a complete waste of money. We have emailed the hotel asking why we were charged such a large amount without being informed, especially five days after checking out, but we have received no response. This lack of communication makes the situation feel fraudulent. Please be fair and transparent with your guests. If you are charging premium prices, you should also provide good service instead of focusing only on money.
