The hotel was okay. Pros was it is close to the Hilton Hawaiian Village so there was lots to do in that area. Cons were the front desk staff weren’t super friendly, we waited almost 2 hours to check in even though we were told the rooms would be ready in 20 mins, the beds are VERY old and uncomfortable I could feel every spring (definitely need a Teeter Hangup available upon checkout for the pain), there was a water leak on our floor and the hallway and into our room smelled so bad like feces.

Hilton Double Tree - Honolulu Waikiki WIFI continually dropping out - then handed a paper with their service provider for you to call and work it out with them. I don’t work for Hilton, do your own work and not pass your duty onto the guests! Took two phone calls with the latter advising of the above then they sent someone to resolve. Towels - I booked 4 x double rooms with Queen beds for 11 guests. Queen beds in each room and only supplied with two towels-continually had to request extra towels (4 per room is what was required - 1 per guest). One of the rooms only had hand towels, the guest rang reception twice to request, it took so long she took a shower and dried with one small hand towel! Attached is an example of the age and quality of the towels. Against the light you can easily see the thread count is super thin and almost transparent, notwithstanding the frayed edges. Hilton is known for quality, this isn’t. Gym - Firstly, no sweat towels were available, very unsanitary. Secondly, the hand sanitiser was completely dry to the extent I doubt it’s been refilled in months, very unhygienic! Pool - During swimming in the pool, one of my party while swimming discovered a used blood stained female sanitary pad floating in the water, disgustingly unsanitary! There’s a strong smell of dampness and mildew in all hallways and the rooms. I raised the above with the hotel manager, only to met with sorry. No offer to attempt to make our stay more comfortable apart from extra towels 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️ I will never re-visit this over priced hotel, this hotel is an embarrassment to the Hilton brand

This is the worst Double Tree I've ever stayed in the world. It was dirty, old, and the front desk staff were rude. The breakfast was full of flies and bugs, and there were never enough plates or drink cups, every morning we were always waiting to be served. Although the restaurant staff were very friendly, there must have been something wrong with the system. The room was also very dirty and dusty. We had allergies every day while we were there. The worst part was that one day after we stayed in 10 days,we returned to our room from the beach and found that our room key was not working. We were soaking wet and had to wait in line at the hotel counter to ask what happened,The counter staff coldly said that there was a problem with my credit card, so they took my room key and told me to pay right now.Why didn't they mention that they would only charge few day not full amount when we paid for the room at check-in? and after 10 days ask me to pay the rest of our stays. And all our belongings were left in the room, so how could we pay by card again? The counter told me to go back to the room to get the card and gave me 10 minutes to come down and pay. The experience of being soaking wet and having to wait in line in the elevator to swipe my card again, and the fact that there was no even phone notification before the room key was locked, as if we were thieves, is not how Hilton treats there guests. If you are still hesitating, do not book this Double Tree. Judging from the previous reviews, they only reply with apologies but do not change anything. i will recommend you just go to Marriott if you were Double tree Hilton fans . this was over priced like crazy. The only advantage is that the location is good.

Very disappointing stay. The front desk staff was unwelcoming from the start and showed little interest in guest concerns. We paid extra for an ocean view, but the view was extremely distant and barely visible—more like a partial view at best. Despite this, the Hilton website lists it as “ocean view,” which feels misleading. Wi-Fi did not work, and the only solution offered was a wired internet cable, which is unrealistic in today’s mobile world. At checkout, our complaint was met with indifference and no apology. Breakfast was included, but there was a 20+ minute wait, making it unusable due to pre-booked activities. The response was essentially “it’s crowded during year-end,” with no accountability. The bathroom was also extremely small and uncomfortable. Overall, not worth the money. Poor hospitality, misleading room descriptions, and a clear lack of care for guest experience. I would not stay here again or recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Waikiki.

I am currently staying at hotel as I am writing this review. I wish I could go elsewhere. We were just at breakfast and the container that has the bread and bagels were full of bugs, Nats, I told the server and all they did was try to wave the bugs out of the box. Needless to say I lost my appetite. Also, it makes me wonder how well they clean the rooms, bathrooms etc. I would encourage you to find somewhere else to stay if you can. We are stuck here for now. This is not the Hilton experience. Concerned guest
