  Stayed for one night. Overall, pretty good place if to catch flight the next morning. Free shuttle is very good, it takes you directly to the front of the airline checkin. (Apologies to the shuttle driver for me not knowing which airline. If you are to pickup your luggage from the baggage storage service next to bag claim 18, it is right below Alaska Airlines in Terminal 2 as of the time of this review.) Staffs are very friendly. Building feels slightly dated but clean. Walkability is a bit low. It takes about 20mins to walk from the terminals. There’re sidewalks all the way, so it is still walkable if you’re interested in hiking with your luggage.

  We had a great stay here! We were travelling on a budget and we're looking for a hotel that would be comfortable, clean, and convenient. The Best Western in Honolulu was all that and more. We loved the included breakfast, it let us fill up before our days of exploring. The staff were all friendly and attentive. One night our AC was cold (which was lovely after a hot day of hiking) so we put our own travel blankets on the bed. We came back to a lovely thick extra blanket on our neatly made bed. It was such a thoughtful touch! The parking garage was so convenient, it put us at ease knowing our rental car was secure when we weren't using it and the daily rate was fair compared to other hotels in the area. We used the hotel shuttle for a day trip to Kauai, it was so easy to find and made frequent trips to and from the airport. We would definitely recommend this hotel to other budget-minded travellers!

  Overall, my stay was okay, but the unstable Wi-Fi was a significant drawback. The connection dropped every couple of hours and would often take an hour to reconnect. If you’re traveling for work, be prepared to rely on cellular data. On the plus side, the location is excellent—within walking distance of the airport and a reasonable distance to the metro and rapid bus. There are also plenty of coffee shops, restaurants, and convenience stores nearby for essentials. The room itself was fine, though I did notice the bathtub tended to hold onto some grime after use.

  Upon entering my room, I discovered a beetle that strongly resembled a bed bug. This was understandably very alarming. I immediately informed the front desk, and to their credit, they reacted quickly and moved me to another room without hesitation. However, the incident left me quite distressed, and I was unable to sleep for a large part of the night. While I appreciated the apology and the room change, I was disappointed that no further compensation or gesture of goodwill was offered given the circumstances. In addition, I did not feel that the price-performance ratio was justified. For the rate charged, I would have expected a higher standard and more attention to detail. I also found the shuttle service unnecessarily complicated to arrange. It can only be booked by phone, and the correct number is only provided after calling a different number first. This process felt inconvenient and outdated, especially for international travelers.

  We stayed here at the Best Western the Plaza on our previous stay in Hawaii (we were at a different hotel this last trip). We did stop in for a quick visit as we had met Rose (front desk) when we stayed there, and she became our friend-so of course we wanted to come and say hi and reconnect again. So glad we did. Rose has a warm smile that is so welcoming. We really did feel like we were catching up with a good friend. She made a very good impression with us. Thanks for being you, Rose.
