  Location: You’re turning the same direction to head to town everytime you leave. Rooms: AC was a godsend. Blackout curtains leave a small gap at the edge. Missed a laundry bag, slippers, water bottle/dispenser but otherwise all in place. Service: Reception not always manned but helpful with luggage storage.

  Great premier room on the top floor. Well presented and equipped and could not fault the experience. However, the parking situation leaves much to be desired. The parking facility is at the other premier inn (North) which means that you have to walk around the corner to access it. You are told to collect a voucher before you leave the car park. In fact you HAVE to collect a voucher as it’s impossible to pay without one. This means that we had to go into the North Premier inn to collect before paying. BTW, the voucher doesn’t give you any discount on the car park which remains at eye watering price of £17 before and after the voucher is scanned in! When I asked what was the point of the voucher I was told that this entitles the car park user to a discount… not sure how that works! Parking aside, an enjoyable stay

  Receptionist was great, friendly and recommended some great places to visit. The room was big and very clean, lacked a fridge tho. The wifi was free for 24h, then I had to pay 5£ for 24h access…… But overall, I would stay here again.

  Great location, only 5 mins walk from the train station and only 10 minutes from other sights we visited . Room was clean and had everything we needed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. The lift was out of order however we had received a few emails in advance to let us know, wasn’t an issue for us.

  Horrible hotel. If you book use their restful night guarantee to get your money back. There are much better options. For starters the room is so old and run down. A non smoking room smelt of cigarettes (raised this with reception and they said oh that’s weird and offered a scent diffuser). The rooms are incredibly noisy - you can hear the everything. Neighbours, people on the hallway - EVERYTHING. The staff were terrible. Probably the rudest I’ve come across. Everytime I went to the reception the were miserable and rude. On checking in around 1-2pm (we knew 3pm was check in but wanted to leave bags - she bluntly told us we can’t check in. Then when we came the following day to discuss the noise there was no one there. I rang the bell and an older lady came out. I smiled and said how are you and her response was - well I was going on lunch but I’m not now. I was shocked. I then mentioned the noise and she said not much I can do. I then said do you have a different room to which she said we are fully booked. I then said you didn’t check - would it be possible. She then looked and said we have one but it’s under review for issues. I then mentioned the guarantee and she said that’s with the support team not me and gave me an email. I asked her to note the system so when they review the notes are there. The saga continues. I emailed them to report it and they said they reviewed the claim and the hotel offered us a different room but we declined. Which is a TOTAL lie. The service from both hotel and support was horrendous. Will not use them anymore.
