  Had a wonderful stay at Hotel Indigo. Staff were very helpful with good recommendations. Breakfast was lovely and offered a great variety. I loved the quiet location for the evenings when I returned to the room and wanted to relax but was within a 10 minute walk to all the major locations.

  Hotel is in a great location. Rooms are small, but have everything you'll need including extras like robes and slippers. Unfortunately, the rooms need some more care and attention, lots of dust around the room on headboard, shelving, in corners and on the (very old) docking station. Air conditioning intermittent, sometimes works, other times doesn't and the light flashes (I reported and maintenance were supposed to come but never did so we opened the windows instead). Towel rail, luggage table and telephone not working in the room, and the shower doesn't drain properly so water fills up quickly! We loved the location, the bed was comfy and the staff were friendly, but definitely need some improvements in the room we stayed in.

  Superb location, close to the wall and the centre of York. Lots of cafés and restaurants a short walk away. The hotel is spotless and very comfortable. Breakfast was exceptionally good. All the staff were pleasant and helpful.

  You may notice that on review's they always say they will rectify the problem for others and not the actual person making the complaint. Anyway, we stayed for one night for our anniversary. Our room was a premium room which was meant to have a complimentary mini bar. When we arrived there was one shortbread biscuit and one biscoff biscuit. We had one sparkling can of water and one still can of water. How on earth is this a mini bar. Then the next day we went for breakfast and it was appalling. The food was cold. They took so long bringing out the new food it was already cold and was of really poor quality. It was inedible. There was limited cereal option. Basically everything was limited. It was possibly the worst breakfast at a hotel I have ever had. Anyway, back to the mini bar. I thought surely we must be getting more than that. So I checked online in the morning before we left and realised we should have got a lot more. So on check out I asked and they informed me that I should have had allsorts of goodies. So this tipped me over edge and I complained. Basically I had paid for a premium room and got a basic package. I received a reply from my complaint saying they were sorry and they wanted to give me a 1000 IHG points. Errrm nope. That is awful. Then they said they will give me a discounted stay. Why on earth would I want to stay again. Just to add the rooms have paper thin walls. You could hear the neighbour sneeze talk on their phones. Would not stay again. I would also not recommend it.

  Had a 1 night stay 30/07/26. What a great hotel. Stylish rooms ,comfortable beds ,lovely shower and air conditioning. Super location as well. What made this stay even better was the staff. Absolutely superb all of them. Special mention to the young girl at breakfast she was 20 (looked younger ) I didn't get her name but she was lovely to talk to. A real credit to her parents for bring up a really well mannered young girl. The breakfast was very good as well. You won't be disappointed if you stay here.
