Awful nights sleep and as we waited to get back before making an online claim for a good night (they only give 7 days this is Gatwick we were heading away) and a complaint at the desk same night. We were kept awake most of the night by the next rooms TV up loud, the staff knocked in the door twice but got ignored. The parking fee for 12 hours is ridiculous. Will not be visiting again.

TWO PREMIER INN’S AT GATWICK... THIS IS THE OLDER ONE
Upon arrival at Gatwick for an overnight stay and a morning flight, I discovered that this hotel is a further 500 metre walk outside the airport than the newer one (North Terminal) located at the exit of the airport. It doesn’t sound like a lot, but it’s partly uphill along gravel footpaths. Thankfully, I was able to wait in the newer one until check in time.
The first room assigned to me had a defective TV, the second had a terrible, mouldy smell, however, the third was fine (shades of Goldilocks). The fabulous Paulina – who schlepped my large bag between these rooms – comped my breakfast for the inconvenience… great customer service can make up for most things.
The room was large with a chaise longue that I used as a luggage rack for both my open suitcases. The bed was very comfortable but with lumpy, hollow-fill pillows, so I used my travel pillow. There was a kettle, with tea & coffee, but no fridge. The bathroom with a rain-shower over bath was very good and had lovely bulk toiletries.
I had a comfortable night and the breakfast offered a good selection of hot and cold choices. Having said that, I think £13.99 is a little steep, unless you have hollow legs and keep going back. I certainly didn’t do it justice but was grateful for the comp. Overall a comfortable stay in an aging hotel with excellent staff.

Lovely room clean and tidy the food very good and two members of staff named miah and also Courtney very helpful and very professional and some top class customer service definitely 5star Quality especially from miah such a great asset to the company . The reason why I say this about miah is I suffer with mental health and I am always on my own and she took the time to talk to me this means so much to me as loneliness is a very big part of my mental health and I really appreciated it she did not have spend time to talk with see made me feel seen I’ve not felt like that for many many years and I down she doesn’t realise she has saved a life and gave me the fire I was without to carry on this fight of life

We arrived to our hotel in the early hours of the morning for our booking due to a delayed flight. On arrival we found that our room was not prepared for the number of guests booked for as the additional bedding did not have any bedding at all. I went to reception as we had two young children to put to bed and it was now nearly 5am. The gentleman on reception was exceptionally polite but it seemed may have been advised by the manager there wasn’t a lot they could do other than give us some laundry from the laundry room.
I explained that due to the time of night I just needed anything to make the beds and I had found some unmade duvets under the bed labelled for housekeeping so I will just make these up. This is less than ideal in any circumstances as we booked for a family of 4 and had one double bed made only. This morning we found that there was also only one towel it seemed therefore, another example of the room not being prepared for a family of 4. We choose premier inn over and over again due to the reliability received but on this occasion it was not the case sadly.
We sent an email 3 weeks ago and have had no response so I felt the need to share this after continued poor service.

After being denied boarding for a flight at the gate (easyJet advanced the deparure without updating the App) - a party of seven had 25 h to wait in Gatwick. We ended up at this Premier Inn and it redeemed our faith in humanity completely. Hosts Mel and Annette are local people who really understand both the stress of travellers, and also how to use the area around Gatwick to have a nice time. Yes, believe it or not that is possible. Using their recommendation, he took the wooded footpath along the river mole to the beautiful mediaeval Inn for a great lunch.
The rooms are functional but clean and fresh smelling. Our room looks out on the a very handsome Forest of trees.
The bar and Cafe area downstairs is well designed and has lots of places that are reasonably pleasant to hang out in.
Well done Premier inn for for creating a genuinely authentic positive experience even in the closing. Particularly for appointing and supporting your staff to take the time with the customers.
NB the Premier A23 Is different, smaller and about 100 m further away from the airport than the other two sites of this chain at Gatwick. Well worth finding it out. Fully walkable from either north or south terminal.
