  We were looking for something close enough to the South of England showground where we had a conference so this was ideal. It was a 15mins drive which wasn't bad. The family room did meet our expectations although the bathtube had some stains which we covered using a slip mat. The star Inn was next door where we went for breakfast. They could do with 2 members of staff in the mornings as the lady who served us was brilliant but seemed to be doing more than her fair share which meant we had to wait longer for anything.

  We've travelled and stayed away a fair bit, this is the worst hotel I've stay at. The room was shockingly dirty. On entry there was an awful smell. It was later that we saw dried vomit staining all over the toilet bowl exterior and spread over walls and the door. The window had been left open, probably to air the smell, in which case we shouldn't have been allocated the room. There were other rooms available as we'd booked in advance and guests in front of us were offered rooms without pre-booking. I dread to think how dirty the floor will have been but being dark it was hard to make out. The carpet was dusty in areas and the windows dirty with large webs in the corner - this had obviously not been cleaned in a while. It was a sleepless night with the musty and stale vomit smell - a disgrace that this standard is considered acceptable

  Stayed during the heat wave and I wish I had checked the hotel had Air con. As it was crazy hot in the hotel. The fact the lady on reception had an ice cold town wrapped round her neck and a fan within a 1ft of her face says it all. She looked like ahe was going to pass out. Sleeping was impossible, a fan was provided but just moves warm air around. The rooms are tired, and cleaning is not the best. Pubic hair around the toilet and one on the side by the sink. Paint peeling off the walls, moult on the ceiling in the bathroom. The mirrors have that splitting/rust coming through. One of my pillows had 100s of small brown dots over the casing. Cobwebs down the main stairs and the window frame on the staircase doesn't look like its seen a cobweb brush in years. Just a very tired hotel that needs some work and cleaning done. At checking out we did mention some of the above and the lady said yeah it is warm and its a older hotel. So we left without saying anything else. I would definitely look at other options if we stay in the area again.

  DONT EVER STAY HERE We booked this well in advance for a wedding when we turned up it was more like a horror show when we entered the room. Blood speckles in the bath Pubic hair every where Dead flys everywhere Crunched up drugs on the bedside table Empty pill wrappers Poo stains on the pillows When we told reception who had already gone to check our room was ready that it wasn’t clean the response we got was shocking ( well I checked it ) as if to say we done it in 5 minutes of being there. We asked to change rooms only to be given a room that was even worst. We had to wait for two hours to get a refund after paying on arrival which didn’t go in the bank until 4 days later which left us stranded with no spare money to book elsewhere . We booked this venue for a large wedding nearby and now had to stay 10 miles away due to late booking and everywhere full PLEASE SEE ATTACHED PICTURES Would you stay here imagine you had children and entered that room with drugs everywhere
