Lovely quiet location. Really easy to get to Gatwick Airport from here to drop/collect someone. Staff are very friendly and efficient. Rooms are nice, we were lucky to get a room with aircon (there's only a couple with air con) this week but last week while dropping at lgw we had a room without aircon but we did have a fan in the room which helped. Breakfast was very good as was dinner. Would definitely use again or recommend to friends.

Fine for a place to crash. Food is good, staff are friendly. However, avoid like the plague in the heatwave. Rooms are basic, small but clean. They have an annex which is worth noting does not have the Premier inn mattresses (not in my room anyway). No AC, which is clear on the Web page but what is not clear is that a lot of these rooms are sun traps. Stayed here twice during the heatwave (company bookings) and the nights were just about unbearable. Some of the fans have blades so flimsy that they appear to have flattened, maybe through heat, or constant use? There is more air being blown off the end of the fan ie underneath/ above it etc, than is blown from the front, you can feel almost nothing from the front of these fans even at high speed. The windows, of course only open a few inches at the bottom, which means that even if the air is cool outside, opening the window does nothing unless there us a good breeze (cool air will not rise to come in through the bottom of a window, only fall). I even wedged my door open until bedtime because the corridor was marginally cooler than the room. The hotbox room issue was compounded by the fact that reception was icy cold with ac on full blast and the restaurant and bar area was air conditioned as well. Great while you're there but makes the rooms worse. Breakfast is not buffet, it's ordered to table, so allow a bit more time.

Don't be fooled by the external look. It looks a bit like a closed pub. But once inside your room it's a freshly decorated and updated premier inn hotel room. All the expected accessories. At breakfast they were short staffed and our waiter was rushed off his feet but very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you.

The room temperature. and in most of the hotel, was unbearably hot with a freestanding fan which just served to circulate the hot air. 3 nights of fitful sleep! Only two staff on duty manning reception, the bar and restaurant on Tuesday 4th. Less than 10 people in the restaurant but had to wait an hour for a table until 9 p.m. for dinner. Service once sat down was slow. I ordered a dessert, it never arrived and no staff in sight to chase it, gave up. I have been using Premier Inn for some years. The prices are going up and up, rooms no longer get cleaned unless requested and, despite helpful and polite staff, service is going down the tubes. There is no recognition of being a loyal and regular customer, we are still victim of the outrageous dynamic pricing. The corporate rate I can use through my company is usually more expensive than the rate booked online. Premier Inn has lost direction and is alienating many loyal customers.
