Last time I stayed here was a year and half ago and there was no aircon lights didnt work shower went cold after 3 minutes no plugs next to bed you know its not gonna be great when you get a real key so outdated receptionist was great....What a difference 18 months makes really clean and modernised great room air con comfy bed and again really helpful and freindly front desk would now reccomend

The hotel and grounds appear a little run down but the hotel inside, especially the rooms appear to have been refurbished to a good standard with comfortable beds and a full bathroom. Bad points are no air conditioning for cooling, only heating, with a desk fan provided, the completely none removable coat hangers in the open ‘wardrobe’ are very inconvenient. Service at the hotel was brilliant, polite helpful and friendly. However whilst one member of staff in the restaurant (pub) shared these attributes at breakfast, one older, and seemingly senior member of staff was very abrupt, unhelpful and relatively quite rude. I would stay again if in the area as it’s a good location but I think would get breakfast elsewhere.
