Lovely little gem in an area where nice hotels are quite hard to find! I love water views so I appreciate the canal view and on the Waterside there are nice little places to eat.
The spa is a nice addition although Faradays food is pretty awful. I had fish & chips dinner which was greasy, bland and the batter went soggy before I could get half way through. The kitchen clonked out so I couldn't get dessert but... Maybe that wasn't a bad thing 😅
The staff are absolutely lovely here and so prompt. I had a canal view room and didn't even realise there was a prom going on downstairs, so. I got plenty of much needed peace and quiet (Waterfront King Room). I'm not entirely sure if I would return. Faradays is the more off putting element and I did initially have a room with a smelly bathroom (but amazing view) then I was moved quickly to a room with the bed facing the petrol station ðŸ«
Let's see! Overall a nice stay.

Based on a 1 night stay. We were welcomed and allowed access to our room even though we were early than check in time. Our room was clean and tidy and big enough for our needs. We had an evening meal in the restaurant which was very good. Head of house Vicky had a problem with some guests of which she dealt with in a very quiet and professional manner. Breakfast was good and would have been better if we had risen earlier so that is on us.
Altogether I think the staff are what make this a great hotel, they are so kind and nothing is too much trouble, what a team! Thank you 😊

I’ve stayed at this hotel multiple times due to work, but feel I have to write this review to anyone thinking of coming here, don’t! It’s disgusting, smelly rooms, bathrooms absolutely reek! Cleanliness is none existent, don’t let the pictures fool you into thinking it’s some classy hotel, it’s disgusting, I’ve stayed at 2 star holiday inn express hotels that are miles better than this, will probably be the last time I stay here, no idea how this is a 4 star hotel, I would say 1-2 stars at best, only plus is merry hill shopping centre is across the road, nothing else positive about this hotel at all.

Arrived at the hotel in mid thirties heat. Checked in and went to our rooms only to discover the hotel has no air conditioning. The rooms were filthy. Cobwebs at the windows and behind the curtains and it hasn’t been cleaned in months as these were not overnight cobwebs. The chairs were ripped and stained and when we complained they moved us to two new rooms that were only just slightly better. We ended up placing blankets on the furniture so we could sit on them. The rooms have no showers and just a bath so hard to get in if you have mobility issues. Rooms need maintenance as cracks are everywhere.
The breakfast area the plates were dirty and we had to sort through to find a clean one. It put my wife off so much she would not eat there the next morning. This is my first experience of millennium hotels and I can guarantee it’ll be my last. Avoid this like the plague unless you want to catch it!

I had such an amazing time staying here recently and everything from start to finish was just perfect. The hotel itself is warm, welcoming, and spotlessly clean; my room was comfortable, spacious, and had everything I needed for a really comfortable stay for 11 nights. Staff across the whole team were friendly and helpful, but I wanted to give a special, heartfelt shout-out to Vikki the waitress in the hotel restaurant, she made my evenings dining extra special!
Vikki was absolutely brilliant from the moment i sat down. She greeted me with such a lovely, genuine smile, was incredibly attentive, gave amazing customer service and gave fantastic recommendations from the menu. Nothing was ever too much trouble, she checked in on my table regularly, made sure my dietary preferences were accommodated perfectly, and brought such a warm, positive energy every time i saw her. Her professionalism and kind nature really stood out, she’s a total asset to the team at the hotel.
The food was delicious, service was smooth, and the whole atmosphere of the hotel felt so welcoming. I left feeling refreshed and will be planning my next visit real soon. If you are staying here, keep an eye out for Vikki she makes the dining experience truly wonderful!
Would 100% recommend Copthorne Hotel Dudley to anyone visiting the area. Thank you all, and especially thank you Vikki, for making my stay so memorable!
