  one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had. during the night the air conditioning and ventilation in our room completely stopped working. As a result, we woke up at around 3:00 a.m. sweating and extremely uncomfortable. The solution by staff was to leave the window open and use a table fan. I genuinely have to ask: if we wanted to sleep with an open window and a table fan, why would we have paid a significant amount of money to stay in an air-conditioned hotel? What makes this even more frustrating is the room itself. We were given a handicap/accessibility room, despite the fact that neither my partner nor I require accessibility assistance. I find this explanation extremely difficult to accept. If there was another, more suitable room available, why were we not allocated that room in the first place? We were put into a room that had facilities designed for accessibility that we did not require, including a bathroom where there was no lid on the toilet, which made the experience particularly unpleasant and uncomfortable. We were also told that if we moved rooms in the middle of the night, the replacement room might not be another accessible room and could be a different type of room. This only raises further questions about the room allocation and whether there were other rooms available that could have provided us with a normal and comfortable stay. There was a male and female member of staff at reception, who I believe was named Navneet (although I may have the name slightly wrong), and I had the distinct impression that there was a discussion taking place about which room could be given to us and which room should not be given to us. Given everything that happened, I was left feeling that we were being treated differently because we are Indian and brown. I do not make an allegation of racism lightly. However, the circumstances and the way we were treated genuinely left me feeling that this may have been a racist experience,

  Amazing hotel with amazing service and atmosphere We visited our family and decided to came for a coffee ☕️ to the close by hotel . We walked in and the atmosphere was amazing. We were treated by general manager Elmarie who was at the reception that time. We went to the bar to have a coffee and relax with family . We were looked after well by Melwin, Naveer and Amalia . They are all superstars who smile all the time and make sure you are ok. Hotel was very clean and smelled very nice. The decor was very modern and we felt like we are in luxury hotel on holidays . Thank you so much ch for making our morning so special , we definitely will be back . Xxx

  Amazing Stay at Crowne Plaza Reading ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I stayed at Crowne Plaza Reading from Saturday to Sunday, and I honestly wish I had booked a longer stay! I had already booked another hotel in Reading for Sunday to Monday, but after experiencing Crowne Plaza, it really exceeded my expectations. From the moment I arrived, everything was excellent. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming, the room was lovely, and the whole hotel had a calm and relaxing atmosphere. I especially appreciated the adults-only check-in policy, as it made the stay feel much more peaceful and enjoyable. The pool area was good, although there is some room for improvement. Some guests were leaving towels on the sun loungers to reserve them while they weren’t actually using them, which meant that several loungers were unavailable even though they were empty. Apart from that small issue, I had a fantastic experience. The hotel, staff and overall atmosphere were all wonderful, and I would definitely stay at Crowne Plaza Reading again. Next time, I’ll definitely book for longer!

  Stayed here to celebrate our anniversary this weekend and booked an overnight spa break through SpaSeekers. It also included a back, neck and shoulder massage, mini facial, three course meal and breakfast There was some initial confusion and miscommunication around the massage times when booking when we spoke to the assistant reservations manager. We found this stressful, and there was a lot of back & forth as initially she was only offering us massages the day after our anniversary even though there was availability & we paid months in advance. But thankfully this was resolved in the end and we got the massage the morning of our anniversary Daria did my massage and facial, and both were lovely. The massage was so relaxing and my skin felt really fresh afterwards. She was really friendly and also gave me some helpful skincare tips. The only thing I felt was missing was some relaxing background music during the massage, but overall was a great experience The pool area was really nice, and we also enjoyed the sauna and steam room. The hotel grounds, room, restaurant and spa were all very clean and had such a lovely atmosphere. I had called in June when we booked the overnight spa, to arrange a happy anniversary message to be written on our dessert plate at the restaurant, but was initially told it wasn’t possible. After seeing one in a Google review the day before our stay, I asked again after check-in and Ranjith kindly arranged for one to be sent up to our room. He was incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our stay and it really helped make our anniversary feel extra special. The three course meal was some of the best food I’ve ever had. They had great vegetarian options too! The sweetcorn velouté, paneer curry and garlic naan were 10/10 for me! The staff at the restaurant were lovely as well. I also liked the board games they had at the bar area too. Overall we had such a memorable and relaxing stay and I’d definitely come back again for another overnight spa break

  I had a wonderful stay here over the weekend, and I would especially like to appreciate Ranjith at reception. He was incredibly nice, friendly, and helpful throughout our entire stay. Ranjith made everything so flexible and easy for us, always going out of his way to help whenever we needed anything. He created such a welcoming and comfortable environment, which really made our stay even more enjoyable. It’s rare to come across someone who is so genuinely helpful and makes guests feel so well looked after. Thank you, Ranjith, for making our trip and stay such a pleasant experience. Your kindness and excellent hospitality truly made a difference! Highly recommend this place, especially for the wonderful service and hospitality. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
