Rooms themes are great, kids enjoy every part of the hotel.
The downside was the amenities provided, there is no Dental Kit (tooth brush and tooth paste), No water provided at the room. In addition, there is no phone to call reception, they provided a QR code to send SMS, not a good choice for tourists who rely mainly on internet packages only. For the breakfast, very little choices either for kids or adults, I highly recommend having the room without breakfast and you can order your food online. Dinner buffet was much better regardless of the prices and drinks are not included in the total price and you have to order them separately, but ordering food is much better as well.
I did not like the way of table reservations for every meal, the hotel is mainly for kids and it is difficult to decide breakfast time or dinner time, even if they were flexible with reservations. It makes the parents under stress and try to catch up with the time.
Make sure that your accommodation includes theme park visits, and how many visits to the theme park. I have been to legoland california and Legoland dubai, both were much better than windsor as a stay.
Overall, theme park was great, hotel is great but you need to be prepared with food and amenities.

Pure, overpriced garbage. Unless you only care about taking pretty pictures for Instagram, do yourself a favor and stay far away from Legoland Resorts. It’s an absolute money pit. The pool was shut down with zero refund or compensation, and the "birthday upgrade" package is a complete scam—they sent us our theme park tickets before we even checked in, rendering the included vouchers entirely useless. To top off the disaster, they left our birthday cake sitting in a boiling, un-air-conditioned room for hours to melt instead of putting it in a fridge. As for the breakfast and service? Utterly pathetic. Save your hard-earned money and take your kids anywhere else.

We stayed at the Castle Hotel for three nights and spent two days at the Legoland. Atmosphere and all the details at the hotel were great in my opinion and our children (5, 8, 9) enjoyed the visit very much. Treasure hunts and other little puzzles were also a very nice touch.
Room was spacious and well designed. Food was pretty basic buffet selection, nothing special but did the trick. At least we didn’t travel to Legoland for food. Staff was helpful and friendly.
The biggest issue i think was the early access for hotel guest system. Hotel guests are allowed to enter the park 9.30, half an hour before the main gate opens at 10.00. Problem was that the passage to the park was through the other hotel and it’s narrow corridors filled with people. There was only two small gates for people to go through so it took a long time to get to the park. And even if you managed to get to the park at 9.30 the most popular rides opened at 10.00. So the whole early access was a bit of a let down.
But all in all, very nice experience, both hotel and the park.
The hotel is dirty, the check in starts at 4pm (no matter if the room is already available, the system won’t let you in until 4pm). But the chek out it’s at 10am… there is no option to leave your luggage in the hotel, you have to bring it to the Bricks hotel (next to castle but you have to walk along a bridge with all the luggage, take a lift, etc etc… not easy and even less if you travel with kids).
This is bad, but the worst worst thing is the feeling that everything tou are touching is dirty and plenty of dust…. The carpets haven’t been cleaned in ages
We stayed here for 1 night during the heatwave. We paid extra for the hotel over the lodges so we would have access to the swimming pool so the kids could get out of the sun and cool off. The pool was closed for both days with zero compensation or as much as a "sorry". They just said it's as per there T&C's. The manager couldn't have cared less. Other guests were given fast pass tickets, we weren't, which was even more disappointing.
Food in the restaurants is expensive and of poor quality. You could see a lot of guests ordering takeaway and eating outside for obvious reasons.
Rooms were nice.
Breakfast, again wasn't of the best standard and the service was chaotic, despite only have 4 tables of guests.
The park:
Multiple broken rides on both days.
4 rides broke down while we were queuing, which was very frustrating. (One for over 45 mins)
The park is also starting to show it's age in places.
We were there on Sunday and Monday.
Queues on the Sunday were up to 1 hour. On Monday they were slightly better.
Wait times on the app can be inaccurate.
Also with the hotel stay you get early access to the park at 09:30, but only 4-5 rides are open. So all guests just run to the 4-5 rides. So queues are as long as they would be during normal times!! Also one of the 4-5 chosen rides on Monday morning was broken down during the early access window.
Overall I wouldn't recommend. Our kids had far more fun at Gulliver's world at a fraction of the cost.
