A handy location when going to Rewind Festival but this year only one lift was working over the whole weekend. The carpet was badly stained and the light was not working on the vanity mirror. There's no parking, so we used a public car park down the road, with a 'very keen to catch you out' parking attendant. There's a drop off zone out the front of the hotel but it seemed to be used as a parking space by several cars without blue disabled stickers.

I was supposed to be staying here on the 11th July however I could not make it in time so requested a hotel location change and they refused. I was offered a £90 refund for one of the days I was supposed to be there although I stayed 0 days / nights and it was a £197 booking!!! It is over a month later now and I am still waiting for this refund . I had no email confirmation about it was just told to wait. I have phoned up multiple times now and I am receiving no help at all. I have been given another number to call but that number doesn’t even connect it just rings out and still no money back. I’d expect with a big company like premier inn they’d have a better system or better customer service. Even better you would think that they would have an email I could contact on rather than hoping someone with a brain cell answers the phone.

I had a very disappointing experience at this Premier Inn. My husband and I both have mobility issues, and although I requested a room close to the ground floor, I was given a room on the 6th floor. I was the first to check in, yet the rest of my family, who checked in after me, were allocated rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors.
To make matters worse, the toilet in my room would not flush. I reported the problem, but nothing was done before I checked out the following morning. The lack of action from the staff and management was extremely disappointing.
I also contacted Premier Inn head office to make a formal complaint, but nothing was done to resolve my concerns, which made the experience even more frustrating.
Overall, the customer service was poor, the hotel was not disability-friendly, and I felt completely let down. I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience.
