Arrived to ground floor entrance which was dreary. Lift to first floor for check in which was a small desk in foyer of restaurant. Waited our turn for e-keys and were left to find our way to the room. Standard room no frills. Discovered the rotating sink plug was jammed so back down to reception to get assistance. Aid arrived quickly enough and with the right tools so I'm guessing a common problem. Bath had a long black hair in it. Make of that as you will. > £120 for the night, breakfast was additional cost. We chose location for proximity to venue we attended due to mobility issue but I would have preferred a less costly B&B. Positive note, multi story car park across the road and that was free!

A delicate situation handled sensitively and compassionately by the manager, Natalie, and her colleague Sarah. Competence, compromise and genuine concern, with the team bending over backwards to resolve an issue entirely unrelated to them, for which I will remain eternally grateful. My commendations and gratitude to the team for their efforts and empathy. A very well played hand, and worth of recognition at head office.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and 4 days as a family of four. The location is excellent, with a wide variety of restaurants and shops within walking distance. We often choose Premier Inn when travelling to different cities because we appreciate their family-friendly breakfast offer, where one paying adult breakfast includes a free breakfast for a child. The room was spacious enough and comfortable for our family. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always greeted guests with a smile. In particular, Jimmy, who works in the restaurant, was exceptionally helpful and kind. He proactively recommended nearby attractions, including a local farm park where our children enjoyed spending time outdoors and enjoying the sunshine. However, there were a couple of areas that could be improved. The air conditioning did not seem to work properly and was barely noticeable even when set to the coldest temperature. As we stayed during a heatwave, this made it difficult to sleep comfortably at night. In addition, the TV channel selection was quite limited, with most available channels being BBC programmes. Overall, we had a pleasant stay thanks to the great location, spacious room, and excellent staff, especially Jimmy.

A huge thank you to the staff of the Trowbridge Premier Inn. My son lost his teddy that he has had since a baby and the staff were very kind to us. They found the teddy and posted it back. We're all very grateful! In terms of the hotel, it suited us perfectly for a day trip to Bath, great location in terms of restaurants, cinema and even a couple of supermarkets. Parking isn't always very easy, but the staff highlighted somewhere we could park until a space by the hotel became available. Thank you!

The problems started as soon as I entereed the building. Trying to find reception. After a couple of minutes I saw a fairly small sign on the wall saying reception is on the first floor. I decided to take the stairs, after going up 3 flights, around some corners, wondering if I'm going the right way, I found the reception desk. I tried to check in at the desk, the staff tried to check me in but apparently the system was having issues and said I'd have to use the automated check in machines. After a hard day at work, I just wanted to get to my room. I'm no technophobe but I still needed the staffs assistance to complete check in. In the room I was in, the right hand bedside lamp didn't work and the left one flickered so bad it was unusable. The room lighting is in urgent need of an upgrade. I couldn't even watch the TV without a reflection of a light in the screen. The bathroom smelt so bad, like stagnant water. I wasn't sure if it was the sink or the toilet but it was not good and made me feel sick when washing my hands or brushing my teeth. If i wasn't so tired, I would have complained and tried to get a different room. The shower curtain seemed far too short and didn't use all the shower hooks on the the track. I had to keep checking I wasn't spraying the bathroom floor with water whilst in the shower. The breakfast was not great. all the 'hot' items were luke warm at best. This suprised me as I'd been asked what time I was going to be at breakfast. When getting a cup ot tea, there was not milk anywhere near the hot water / coffee machines, I managed to find some at the fresh fruit / cereal counter, there was no indication if this milk was skimmed, semi or full fat. I have stayed ay many Premier Inns and the breakfast here was the worst I can remember, the fried eggs had solid yolks, the bacon was like cardboard, the hash browns were so dry and overcooked. Everything was just not nice. I wish I had saved my money and gong to Greggs round the corner...... Checking out wasn't as expected either, after getting the lift down to the ground floor, I then had to go back to the first floor for a key drop. All in all, I don't think I would stay here again, I'd definitely try to find somewhere else locally. It feels like the hotel chain know they are the only one in the area and are just out to make money from a captive market.
