  The hotel itself was fine, but we received a parking fine from their carpark which is managed by Horizon. Despite appealing the fine and offering proof that we stayed they did not overturn the fine. We contacted Premier Inn who said they weren't able to do anything to help. Make sure you take a picture of when you register your vehicle on the tablet at check-in, as you are not given any receipt to prove that you've registered. Rubbish system!

  Recently had a family wedding nearby and stayed at the 'inn' fo3 3 nights. Nothing premier about the place, room wasn't serviced the whole stay, even after requesting it be done. No amenities in the bathroom apart from a soap dispenser and a towl. AC switched iff every 30 minutes. Breakfast average, with coffee machine out of order.

  Hot room , air conditioning only goes down to 19.5c . Food just about cooked . Staff can't be bothered with their job. Gone downhill from our other stays here.

  We have stayed in over 6 Premier Inn hotels in the last 2 years, and it is always our trusted choice especially with a toddler. However, unfortunately, this time round we were sorely disappointed and even horrified at some points and it has left us questioning whether we want to risk another bad experience at a Premier Inn or if the Marlborough hotel is an exception to the usual standards of Premier Inn hotels. The location is fantastic and there was one helpful woman at the desk who seemed to be trying her best but was holding the fort down on her own. Everything else was a disaster. Lobby - only one check in kiosk is working so long check in queues including elderly and children and no staff on the desk to help. The bathrooms in the lobby are horrendous even in the morning. We used the women's and baby changing bathrooms, the floors are flooded, no tissue paper, spider webs and spiders crawling around and insects flying. Lobby never had any staff available, at one point I rang the bell at reception a couple times and waited almost 15 minutes until I walked in to the restaurant to ask for help (needed our bin changed), the lady said she was on her own managing the restaurant and couldn't do it until she was done there or someone else showed up and so I took bin bags and ended up changing our bin myself. The lift buttons are literally held on by tape. Room was clean but very tired and dated, needs maintenance, and lacking basic necessities such as a suitcase rack. There was no tissue in the bathroom and the hand towel had multiple holes and was very frayed. The bathroom had water damage everywhere - ceilings, mirror, etc. The shower was broken and water was heavily gushing out of the pipework. The faucets were very low down and difficult to access. Carpets had holes and the pillow cases had stains on both sides. Pillows were terribly old and had gotten lumpy and uncomfortable, whereas in the past we have enjoyed Premier Inn bedding. Hotel is not sound proof and can hear footsteps and creaking of everyone walking in the rooms above. We decided not to eat here due to poor standards and other reviews mentioning the food quality being poor. I have also had a bad stomach after eating at Premier Inn Bristol so didn't want to risk it further. We payed the hefty price of almost £300 for 2 nights which is already pricey for a budget hotel however we were happy to do so feeling secure in the Premier Inn experience we normally have, but was severely let down this time and feel like it was money not worth spent and gave us a poor bank holiday experience.

  You know what you’ll get with a Premier Inn – a comfy bed, a quiet night and a good breakfast – but what sets this one apart from the others I’ve stayed in is the staff. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful, especially Sarah, for whom nothing was too much trouble. She really is a star! It’s set in a quiet location with plenty of pubs/restaurants nearby, plus a Tesco and a petrol station literally over the road if you need supplies. There was plenty of parking available when we arrived, just don’t forget to enter your reg number at the terminal. Will definitely consider staying here again as it’s very convenient for Marlborough and Avebury.
