  Wow. This place has some lovely staff who are warm and welcoming, as for the rest this place sucks big time. I can’t ever remember seeing a chain hotel in such poor condition. My guess would be they are ether going to knock it down or close it entirely. Zero effort gone into maintaining this place. The beds are very poor. The carpets old and sticky. Even had a wood lice in our room. Dank stuffy and a strange old smell. IHG. You are letting down your staff here.

  I stayed here for 3 nights and the room was as you’d expect, nice shower, comfy bed and could do with sockets near the bed. I had breakfast each day (unwillingly!), however the low star rating is because the breakfast was CRAWLING WITH FLIES. I raised this at the time with staff and was told that this was due it being hot and due to doors being open with guest movements in and out. They stated that they had a bug machine they were due to arrive the next day. I followed up the subsequent two days, still no sign of this new device. I am in complete disbelief that the management did not look to source an interim measure to deal with this, which could have been a handheld bat, a spinning fan device to keep the flies off the food. Ultimately eating croissant/fruit/meat which has had flies crawling all over it was not something I fancied and they were charging £16 for the pleasure of this, per day! Would not recommend this hotel as clearly hygiene and food standards are low on their priority list!

  Hi everyone I would like to say this place is amazing to spend the time with family because the rooms and the bathrooms are very neat and clean and I went to the restaurant they warmly welcome and recognized me and my family,so glad to see that and they offer me a special dish with beef,it was tender and succulent. Thank you for the dinner See you next time

  I popped in to use the hotel whilst my car was being serviced across the road and compete some work remotely. The staff were wonderful, very accommodating, food and drinks were good, lots of power points and good WiFi as well. 10 out of 10.
