  Staff are nice and helpful. The ground floor room smelled of mould and was moved upstairs with no problem. Decor and cleanliness were ok. Bathroom tub bit too high and was hard to get out from. Overall good stay.

  We pre booked our 3 night stay, 2 course evening meals and breakfasts for the 3 of us. Both of our rooms were clean and very comfortable, no complaints there. However, The Thyme restaurant was appalling for evening meals, breakfasts were okay. 1st night the restaurant was freezing, air con on full blast and even with a jacket on and a wrap over my legs I was still cold. It took ages for our orders to be taken. I requested a pizza, my Husband a curry and my Son a burger along with drinks. 15 minutes later I was told that I couldn’t have a pizza because they didn’t have and sauce so I chose something else. Staff were discussing another customer and how fussy she was being with her order. Our drinks finally arrived 10 minutes later, after we reminded the staff but they bought me a white wine instead of a rose, this was changed but it took another few minutes. My Husband’s curry only had 2 pieces of chicken in it but had a whole bunch of coriander on top, Much, much more than a garnish, possibly hiding the lack of chicken! 2 deserts arrived but they forgot my sticky toffee pudding, which finally arrived Luke warm but with hot custard. 2nd night Husband and Son ordered fish and chips and a dessert, I wasn’t especially hungry so I ordered a starter and a desert instead of a main meal. I was told that I couldn’t have that, I had to have a main course with either a starter or a desert. I pointed out that what I wanted was a cheaper option so they would make a profit, but I still wasn’t allowed to have it. I chose a pizza instead……several minutes went past then I was told that I couldn’t have pizza because they still hadn’t got any sauce. Totally fed up now I ordered a katsu curry which I really didn’t fancy. Another 10 mins passed and then the waitress returned to inform us that they’d run out of chips, so my husband and Son would have to have the fish on its own or with Sweet potato chips 🤯 My husband hates sweet potato so he just ate the fish. My Husband chose the Bannoffe Yogurt for dessert, again they forgot to serve this until reminded and when it finally arrived it was missing the Caramel sauce and Chocolate shavings. At this point we decided that we really couldn’t face another evening meal there so we checked out after breakfast the following morning and lost our pre paid 3rd night stay and evening meals. We would stay here again and have breakfast but never, ever have an evening meal here again.

  WiFi not working- reported it but nothing happened. Corridors grubby. Why is there a charge for parking? It's free at other Premier Inns.

  Restaurant service basically none existent. Unable to cater for anyone really, 3 FoH and 3 BoH and offering very limited service for food preorders only. Closed at 8pm on a Saturday. As someone who has worked in hospitality I find this laughable that 6 members of staff cant cater to a capacity that cant be more than 40 covers maximum capacity at any given time, absolute joke. Breakfast stated to start at 0630 yet hot food rarely ready for this time.

  Worst premier inn breakfast we’ve experienced in a long time! Table dirty (and could see staff using a filthy cloth to clean other ones) Tall tables in the middle of the room just being used as staff stations and all just a mess. No clean plates! At the hot breakfast section customers just having to sort through the plates trying to find an acceptable one - the whole stack was dirty! The guy working there brought over another stack but they were t much better. Pastries section empty Fruit looked sad Juices - again had to pick through to find a clean glass All in all just a bit filthy and very disappointing. Room - when we checked in the room we got (40) had a really strong smell of mould. The guy on reception thankfully moved us to another room - his help and the location are the only reasons I’m leaving any stars.
