Tents were extraordinarily unclean, floors were unwashed and covered with mysterious stains stains of all shapes colours and sizes covered the bed sheets and walls, mold is extremely visible and readily apparent throughout the tent. Chewing gum was on the bed post. Would HEAVILY recommend not staying and definitely not worth the money, I would not even be paid to stay here again.

I really enjoyed Warwick Castle overall. It’s a beautiful place, there’s loads of history, plenty to see and do, and it’s genuinely a great day out if you’re going with family.
Of course, being a family attraction does also mean dealing with everyone else’s....children running around 😂, but that comes with the territory and obviously isn’t something I’d blame Warwick Castle for.
However....I will criticise quite strongly, though, is how the lodge area is handled during and after the outdoor performances.
Because some members of the audience are involved in the performance, people were actually coming right up onto and around our veranda throughout the play. I can understand there being some level of audience participation, but when you’ve paid to stay in a lodge, having complete strangers effectively using your veranda as part of the show is pretty intrusive.
It also struck me as a potential health and safety issue. The lodges provide facilities for guests to make tea and other hot drinks, so it’s perfectly realistic that someone could be sitting or standing on their veranda holding a cup of boiling tea. If children or adults are suddenly running onto or through that space as part of the performance, it wouldn’t take much for someone to be knocked into and for a hot drink to be spilled. That could quite easily result in someone being burned.
It got considerably worse once the performance finished. Large groups of adults and children then started cutting directly through the lodge area and past the verandas rather than using the proper public routes. At that point it stopped feeling like paid accommodation and started feeling like we were staying in the middle of a public walkway.
I genuinely think Warwick Castle needs to address this. There should be very clear signage telling visitors to use alternative routes and not enter the lodge areas.
More importantly, if audience participation is going to involve people going onto or immediately around guests’ verandas - regardless if directly or indirectly part of the interactive performance, then that really needs reconsidering. Guests are paying a significant amount to stay there, and I don’t think expecting some basic privacy and safety around your own lodge and veranda is remotely unreasonable.
Having people walking around your accommodation, standing near or on your veranda, children running about, and then large numbers of people filtering through afterwards is noisy, intrusive and eventually just irritating. It shouldn’t be down to lodge guests to tolerate people effectively treating their accommodation area as an extension of the attraction.
That criticism aside, Warwick Castle itself is fantastic and I’d happily visit again. But the lodge area needs to be treated much more clearly as accommodation for paying guests, rather than somewhere the general public can wander through whenever it happens to be convenient.

Staying at Knight’s Village at Warwick Castle was a lovely experience and a perfect way to make our visit to the castle even more special. The Woodland Lodges are surrounded by trees and greenery, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere away from the noise and rush of everyday life.
Our lodge was beautiful, cosy and very comfortable. It had a charming woodland style that fitted perfectly with the surroundings, and after spending the day exploring Warwick Castle, it was wonderful to come back somewhere so calm. The beds were comfortable, the lodge was clean and well organised, and we had everything we needed for an enjoyable overnight stay.
One of the best things about staying in Knight’s Village is the location. Being so close to Warwick Castle makes it very convenient, particularly if you want to enjoy the attractions without rushing home afterwards. Waking up surrounded by woodland also makes the experience feel more like a short countryside holiday.
The whole area felt peaceful and family-friendly, and the natural setting was beautiful, especially in the evening and early morning.
Overall, we really enjoyed our overnight stay. The combination of a comfortable lodge, beautiful woodland surroundings and relaxing atmosphere made it memorable. I would definitely recommend the Woodland Lodges for anyone visiting Warwick Castle who wants to turn their day trip into a relaxing overnight break.

We went glamping at the Knight Village for a two night stay, with Castle tickets included. Our 5 year old boy had a wonderful stay and everything worked really well. The evening entertainment provided with archery and knight school was perfect for him. The open buffet for evening meals (around £27 per adult) and the included breakfast buffet was good and full of options.
Only taken one star off for room as our first day was 30C degrees, we bought our own fan as advised prior by the venue, but they may need to consider other remedies in the future if the UK continues to heat. Highly recommend
