  Can't fault the staff at all, helpful, friendly and accommodating, again the location no complaints, plenty on the doorstep if you want food/drinks but the room on the other hand was sub standard, granted I stayed there on the hottest week of the year but there is absolutely no excuse for a hotel chain like Holiday inn to not have air con, well they did have it installed but I would hazard a guess that to save money they've turned them all off and instead you get a little desk fan but as they only have plug sockets on the desk where the tv is, it doesn't actually reach the bed, 2 of the worst sleeps I've had, it's not a case of it being faulty at the time as others from my firm have stayed and said the same, you've got it installed... use it, reception, meeting rooms, bar area.... all lovely and air conditioned... the rooms, horrendous

  Broken aircon on the hottest week of 2026 was not great. Also, they have invested in bringing the communal areas up to date, but the rooms are very tired and shabby. Pleasant staff though. Would have been a lovely hotel 20 years ago, but not now. Holiday Inn, you can do better than this

  The location was great for what we needed (Talisman Theatre) and the room was spacious and clean. We are aware the weather is exceptionally hot, but although aircon is installed, it is not working. We asked at reception and were sharply told 'We do not have aircon' We were supplied with one desk fan, yet there are no plugs anywhere near the bed. The first room we were allocated the curtains were wide open, and the fan was off, it felt about 50 degrees in there. When we put the key card in the electric slot, the desk light was arcing and flashing, so we returned to reception and they allocated us another room. This one thankfully the curtains were drawn and the fan running, but it was still easily over 30 degrees, the window opened just 1 inch. I thought about cooling my face with the hairdryer on cold, and had a shock to find it was damaged, as it made an awful noise and smelt of burning. There was no note to say do not use, and we found another one in a drawer so they obviously knew about it. We tried to call reception to ask for an extension lead for the fan, and no information by the phone how to contact them, so we went down and were told everyone was asking the same and he is still trying to find 5 fans! The lad on reception was great though and quickly brought an extension lead, that didn't work....2nd time lucky though he found one after trapsing down again, but it made no difference, just blowing the hot air around. There was a fire alarm test at 7.45 in the morning, which we had not been warned about, so that was a huge shock after very little sleep. Breakfast had a good choice, and the staff were polite, but it needed refreshing, the eggs all looked like they had been there hours! During cooler weather I expect it woukd have been a much better experience.

  What keeps bringing us back to a hotel is rarely the building itself, it's the people who make you feel welcome each time you arrive. This was our third stay here, and once again we were greeted with the same warmth, courtesy, and genuine care that has made our previous visits so enjoyable. The team specially Mac and is manager Tom are consistently professional, attentive, and always willing to help with a smile. Nothing ever feels like too much trouble, and there is a sincere effort to ensure guests are comfortable throughout their stay. The atmosphere throughout the hotel is friendly and welcoming, which makes a real difference after a long day of travel. It is refreshing to experience service that feels personal rather than routine. We have thoroughly enjoyed each of our visits and already find ourselves looking forward to returning again soon. Thank you to everyone for making every stay such a pleasant and memorable one. Chopras Room No 215

  Das Hotel ist nachts sehr ruhig. In den Morgenstunden jedoch hört man die ganze Zeit quietschende Türen. Leider war es bei meinem Aufenthalt sehr heiß und dem entsprechend konnte ich kaum schlafen da es kleine Klimaanlage im Zimmer gab. Frühstück war ok mehr aber auch nicht. Personal war top. Richtig feindlich.
