- CJc jones3 days ago2.0The rooms are tired and dated and in our case, the room had only 1 towel for 2 people and the tv remote wasn’t working. Also it seems odd that you have to pay £5 parking unless you park through Days Inn’s own website. They say it’s because they have to rent the car park but who I book through isn’t going to make any difference to that- seems more like a way to make money.

We stayed during the heatwave and because the hotel doesn’t have aircon we asked for a fan as our room was hot. Unfortunately none were available. As it happens the room cooled down into the evening and we had a good peaceful night’s sleep. My only complaint was that I was charged twice for our dog ( dogs are charged at £20 per night). The error was obvious and I showed screenshots of my bank statement to the receptionist who said she had to speak to the manager to action a refund. It took me over a week of e-mailing to get this small amount refunded. I don’t blame the reception staff, they were acting under orders, but surely the refund could have been authorised immediately? That said no complaints about anything else, would stay at this Days Inn again.

The staff (I think the lady on reception was called Laura) could not have been more kind and helpful. They very quickly found us (family of 4) a room and checked it was all set up. Room was clean and comfortable enough. Very grateful for their help!
