  Stayed here a couple of weeks ago. The room was unpleasantly unclean, cobwebs in the corners and a bath you would NOT bathe in. The instructions on Google for getting to the North services kept taking us to the South services despite pin dropping which added 10 minutes to the journey every time. The main saving grace was the staff, who were incredibly attentive and helpful throughout our stay.

  Arrived at 2 am, young man on Nightshift Shanmukha could not have been more helpful. Spoke to Sally the manager in the morning and she kindly sorted out a booking problem for me. Will definitely use Days Inn again

  Expectations were pretty low for a budget stay (I paid less than £50) alongside the M40, but even then the hotel didn't meet them. While the staff were helpful, and the room was sufficiently sizeable (if INCREDIBLY hot), the fact that the most basic levels of cleanliness hadn't been met means I'd have been better off spending more money elsewhere. A filthy bathroom and stained pillow cases (both pictured), and ants in the room (on the upper floor!) aren't what I expect at any price. Beyond that, the room was fine in size, the bed comfortable enough, and the facilities acceptable for the price point. But that's not enough to save it, so I won't be back.
