  We booked this hotel at the last minute while travelling down to Devon, and we were pleasantly surprised from the moment we arrived. The staff gave us a warm welcome, and our room was spacious, comfortable, and had a lovely view overlooking the lake. As we were travelling with our dogs, we really appreciated the thoughtful touches. The room included two comfortable dog beds, two bowls, and even a couple of treats, which made our four-legged companions feel just as welcome as we did. We had dinner in the restaurant, and once again, we were impressed. The food was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Breakfast the following morning was equally impressive, with an excellent selection of fresh, tasty food on offer. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. We’ll certainly be happy to stay here again.

  Delicious Sunday Lunch with a lovely lake view. Perfectly cooked meat, crisp roasties, rich gravy and fresh sides - all served family style on a platter, which we loved. Service was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere in the bar & restaurant made the whole experience feel unrushed and relaxed. Highly recommend if you’re searching for the perfect roast in Cardiff.

  Visit was very nice, staff were very friendly during the stay. Room could certainly be updated in some areas for sure and maybe fix a few of plug sockets. However, i cannot fault the food, tasted very fresh and was all very nice from dinner to breakfast. All well cooked and certainly somewhere I would recommend for a meal.

  The hotel is excellent, it is starting to look a little tired in parts and it would be great if they re-opened the pool. That said the staff were excellent, extremely helpful and accommodating. We were travelling with our now disabled dog and they were extremely thoughtful. Both the dinner and breakfast were good, as was the service during the day. The lake was perfect for walking around in the morning and evening.

  Lovely hotel. Booked this at the last minute after being let down by another booking.com accommodation 18hrs before we arrived. So pleased we did. On arrival we were greeted by the very friendly staff and they gave us an early check in for free. The room was great, much bigger than a typical premier inn room. Lots of storage, bathroom was a good size and very clean. Bed was extremely comfortable. Went for breakfast then next morning, buffet style and had everything you'd expect. Lovely breakfast and only £15 each. One slight drawback was no A/C but there was a fan in the room. We needed it on Saturday night! Would definitely book again.
