I had a pleasure to stay 2 nights in Indigo. Well… my first impression was wow! Interior design full of cream and all shades of blue and that stunning smell in the lobby!
Bedroom with an amazing sea view and super comfy Super King Size bed.
I am obsessed with pottery coffee cups made in St Agnes! What a vibe!
I have traveled with my two furry friends as hotel is pet friendly!
(Only one little disadvantage is unfortunately the nearest green path or square for dogs is 10 minutes walking distance so toilet matter maybe a bit difficult as there is mostly concrete.)
Restaurant full of amazing and friendly staff members who are working hard to keep high quality customer service for every single guest. Breakfast a la card and continental, delish coffee beans.
Evenings with tasty pizza (peperoni truffle honey banger) or fish pie for example.
If you need to unwind please visit rooftop bar! Drinks, music and the views!
On-site parking with loads of spaces.
Gym and Spa with nice treatments.
I will definitely visit (again) and you should too!
Thank you Indigo for your hospitality! 💙

I stayed here over the bank holiday weekend and this was my second time staying. The hotel is absolutely stunning, with roof top bars and sea views throughout, however dinner time seems to be a MAJOR issue in the restaurant.
Now, I completely understand with it being a bank holiday weekend, the pressure is on, however, we were made to feel extremely uncomfortable when members of staff started to have a screaming match on the restaurant floor, which made our stay extremely disheartening.
The manager was also one of the members of the team who was shouting at another member of staff, who was part of the hotel reception team. As someone who is perhaps, meant to be managing his staff, this is the absolute wrong way to go about it. In addition to this, there was a young girl, who was a staff member, and may I add, she offered excellent service throughout, ended up also getting screamed at by one of the chefs, who had the decency to come out of the kitchen, and to voice his unkind words to her, in front of the guests, on the restaurant floor. The young waitress ended up being extremely tearful (as I would expect), with the manager turning a complete blind eye to this, and not actually having the decency to firstly, manage his staff with the way they talk to other members, or to even acknowledge the young girl crying.
Absolutely appalling behaviour, and I do think that this manager perhaps, needs some more training on how to meet his job role and ensure things like this are not happening, especially infront of guests, who would like to just enjoy their meal without feeling on edge about the way staff are treated infront of them, especially the young girl.
Checked out the hotel’s roof bar ‘The Cast’ this afternoon. Eventually managed to order a drink, staff at the bar seemed reluctant to take an order as they were overwhelmed but a waiter came a little while later. Service charge of 12.5% comes on top of drink orders automatically, a bit unusual. All the staff and in particular Jackie were very friendly though. We decided to try their bar food too. Crab cakes and chips were nice. Bao bun with Gochujang tofu (misspelled on menu) was disappointing, total absence of any sauce or marinade. Food was served without any cutlery or napkins. The balcony is nice but most of it looses the sun by mid afternoon. Not sure we’ll be back, there seem to be some teething problems
This has to be the number one seaside city destination for IHG in whole of the Europe. The hotel is wonderful, with great facilities and rooms. It may lack of easy access to a beach or cluster of restaurants and night life nearby, but the view is great, and access to local bus network as well as the convenient car park arrangement makes it a really good location for a seaside city break.
The room is in high standard, comes with a free set of minibar item, as well as coffee machine. The bed is super comfortable, and bathroom is functional. Actual the bathroom is the only critic I would make, it can be very cold, the size is smallish compare to the huge room, and the location of the sink is sort of inconvenient. But that is to each of their own opinion. The on site restaurant is of high quality, breakfast is semi buffet which is great. I have been to over 400 cities globally and stayed at many hotels, this hotel has to be one of the top choice in United Kingdom and Europe. There is so much to offer in Devon and this hotel is the crown of the Devon coast. Come to experience it before it becomes too popular.

Overall an excellent stay but breakfast was problematic and not great:
The good:
- Rooms are very nice, great bathroom and amazing seaview room. The bed was huge and so comfortable and we slept very well. Faultless soundproofing to the road outside so zero road noise.
- Water, snacks and soft drinks all free of charge in the mini fridge.
- The staff are incredible. Hands down the friendliest and most helpful group of staff I've ever experienced in a hotel. They gave a big welcome to our friendly dog and the bed for her in the room was a good size.
- Only an £8 taxi to the marina or a nice 30 min walk along the front.
- Dinner at the restaurant was amazing. Food was cooked to perfection and well priced.
- Plenty of car parking available on site and £15 very reasonable for overnight.
Areas of improvement:
- We originally had a ground floor room but had to be moved because of a strong smell of sewage coming from the bathroom.
- Breakfast was a shambles, took over an hour, and our cooked food was poor quality. I had to ask about the delay and they had forgotten our order. When it finally arrived, scrambled egg was rubbery, flavourless and inedible. Sausage was dry and over cooked, baked beans served in a tiny dish so there wasn't much of those, and a general feel of not great quality.
- Only one coffee machine and had to queue up for it right next to other tables eating breakfast.
- The continental breakfast items were really good with fresh fruit and cheese, yoghurt etc.
- Would much rather coffee is bought to you by order and honestly a breakfast buffet would be quicker and easier.
All in all, a really good stay!
