I recently travelled to Manchester for a city break and an event, where I stayed at The Edwardian for 1 night. The hotel was incredible because of the reception staff. They were extremely professional, friendly and made me feel very welcomed. I got to check in early and enjoy the spa very shortly after, which was amazing after a long day of travelling. I would probably stay here again because of the professional staff.

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at the Edwardian in Manchester ,UK.
From the moment we arrived Myen extended a warm welcome and was available to help us with any and all of our requests.
We were celebrating our anniversary and were treated to a small anniversary cake and a bottle of wine upon arrival.
Room was beautiful, breakfast had a wide selection of breads, fruits and warm foods .
We dined at Peter’s Street Kitchen for dinner one night and the menu is exciting and flavorful .
We also had a couple of spa treatments which were luxurious.
Location of the Edwardian is perfect for waking to all attractions .
Truly a 5 star experience!

The service was unexpectedly exceptional — every staff member we encountered was friendly, attentive and genuinely welcoming.
The overall vibe of the place was fantastic and the bed was absolutely wonderful. The gym and spa facilities were incredible, spotless, well equipped, and a real highlight of our stay.
Also, my partner accidentally left her AirPods in the gym. I contacted the hotel and they located them quickly and they had them returned to our home address within a week. Truly impressive service!
We truly enjoyed our time here and we will most definitely be staying again and recommending this hotel to others!

I stayed at the Edwardian Hotel in Manchester the night before my wedding and again on the night itself, and overall it was a really special experience.
The night before, everything was spot on. The bar service was excellent, and they even surprised me with a plate decorated with “congratulations”, which was such a thoughtful touch.
On the morning of the wedding, I had arranged for breakfast while getting ready, and the hotel delivered a large spread exactly as requested. Everything ran smoothly and the staff were genuinely lovely, which made the whole morning feel calm and enjoyable.
When my husband and I returned after the wedding, we were welcomed back to our suite on the 14th floor with petals sprinkled across the room – such a beautiful and thoughtful gesture that really topped off the day.
The only area I feel could be improved is the restaurant. The concept was a Mexican/Japanese fusion, and while the presentation was great, the food didn’t quite match up. I ordered the ribs, which were cooked well but unfortunately had no flavour at all. To their credit, the staff handled it really well and removed them from the bill, but it did mean I probably wouldn’t choose to dine there again.
A huge and special shoutout to the concierge, Gary, who was absolutely outstanding from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. He really went above and beyond and made a lasting impression on our stay.
Overall, a fantastic experience with some truly memorable touches for such an important occasion.

I have stayed in a few Radisson hotels for work and never been disappointed but I thought this hotel was only just scraping on “ok” which isn’t what it should be for the cost of a room per night for a premium room. I booked this hotel for a 30th birthday celebration for my partner and the pretty positive reviews, but wish I chose another hotel in the end.. My partner and I hardly got any sleep as the modern glass/metal structure was constantly making a clinking noise throughout the whole structure that kept waking us up. We also didn’t get on with the pillows at all (although I appreciate this is personal preference) - we did take out the additional pillows within the wardrobe. I was surprised by this as I normally have a great night sleep in Radisson hotels which is why I normally only book these hotels in the group. I actually preferred Bolton stadium to this and that hotel is almost 1/3 of the cost and meant to be a lower grade hotel. I do however normally use park plaza in London and the park plaza is normally cheaper than this hotel, but the overall experience, rooms and facilities is significantly better. The reasons for this are because the room needed modernisation and a reasonable bit of maintenance. (Carpet came away from wall, parts of the wardrobe were coming apart and there was some black mark/stain in the bath). There was no body lotion. The tea/coffee facilities were not in a logical place so had to move them around to be able to plug them in to use them. The shower head was similar to what you would find in a premier inn but the power is not as good. I did also find the shower temperature to be too hot and it was on its coldest setting. There was no bottled/water in the fridge despite the fridge saying there was complimentary water inside.. There was however a refillable bottle provided.
During the night (around midnight), there was a lot of noise from people on the streets but the hotel cannot control this.
It was a very long wait to get a lift to the point we gave up trying and then asked a member of staff where the stairs are to get down. We then found another lift hidden in the stairwell. This then took us outside so we had to walk around to get back inside to check out.
I wasn’t particularly impressed with the service. I contacted in advance if early check in/check out was possible and just received a reply to say “your request has been noted and added to your booking”. I arrive at the hotel and they said there is no early check in available. I asked about late checkout (the staff member spent a few minutes looking on the computer) and I was told I had to ask on the day instead. I then phoned on the day and was allowed 30 minutes extra which was better than nothing. I would just prefer to be told in advance a simple yes or no answer, so I can plan my time accordingly, so it just made it a bit restrictive for me due to using the spa in the morning and needing to book this in advance.
The spa was a lovely decorated room but it was very busy and the air conditioning/pool was a bit cold. There were not any hangers so everyone took up beds to leave their dressing gowns on, even though they didn’t want the beds, so there wasn’t any space to relax other than in the pool. There wasn’t any seating in the pool. The hot tub was too busy to try and get in as it only took about 4 people at a time. I wasn’t able to get in the sauna but the steam room and showers were nice. It would be great as a leisure facility but I do not believe it works that well as a spa for relaxation.
To summarise, the hotel was not fair value for the cost of a room per night and there are nicer rooms available in other hotels for a lower price.
