  We had a wonderful experience whilst staying at this hotel. We are a family of 3 and had reservations about the size of the room, however the room size was more than we expected. Our 13 year old had a sofa bed which was the size of a double bed. The hotel also has a restaurant which serves top quality food. Hotel service was out of this world, on our 2nd night we decided to order room service, my husband rang the dedicated line but the the line connection was poor, they then went out of their way to come and knock at our door to apologise for the poor connection and proceeded to take our room service order. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel ❤️

  Bright clean reception area, a bit dated, Standard King room is nice,,proper king size bed, ceiling light needed as bed light too dim for big room and a vanity mirror needed in the room or a light over the mirror. Staff very polite at all times and a good choice at breakfast.

  Great hotel for business stays. I stay at this hotel most weeks because of the overall service. Housekeepers do a great job, rooms are exceptionally clean. Good quality food service with varied menu to suit most. Staff are always very happy and pleasant with a welcoming smile and attitude to greet you on arrival, nothing is too much trouble for them. Steph always makes sure the breakfast service is perfect. I highly recommend this hotel for business stays in local area.

  Steph is an absolute credit to your company. She's goes above and beyond to ensure the customers are well cared for. She is attentive and attuned to the customers needs. Today when the firm alarm was going off, it was raining outside. She gave her coats and umbrellas across to people. She made everyone feel understood and happy. Last year my room was brilliant, this year a little dated but my understanding is that they are getting renovated. Food really good too.

  I had an extremely disappointing experience at this Holiday Inn, and I would strongly advise others to be cautious to their scams. Firstly, the room I received was not what I paid for. The images shown at the time of booking were significantly different from the actual room (photos attached), which is outright misleading. As a result, I requested a refund or at least a partial refund. I contacted Booking.com, who confirmed that any refund would require approval from the hotel manager. Following their advice, I spoke directly with the manager (Beth) when she came in. Initially, the manager denied my request. But after I explained the discrepancy between the advertised room and what I received, she stated that she had approved the refund and advised me to wait for confirmation from Booking.com. However, when I contacted Booking.com immediately afterwards, they informed me that the refund request had actually been declined. This directly contradicted what I had been told. When I raised this with the manager, I was given inconsistent explanations, including claims that she did not have the authority to approve refunds, which contradicts what Booking.com had clearly stated. I was repeatedly given conflicting information, with responsibility being shifted rather than addressed. The manager tried claiming that booking.com is in charge of accepting refund requests, which is a completely illogical lie, as this is clearly something to be controlled by hotel management. After further back-and-forth, Booking.com confirmed that the refund had once again been declined (further confirming the hotel's authority to approve or decline refunds), and the only “resolution” offered was a complimentary upgrade on a future stay, which was not appropriate given the situation - as all they've done so far is scam me for a room and lie to my face rather than doing what's right. Overall, I did not receive the service I paid for, and the handling of the issue was unprofessional and full of lies. The lack of accountability and clear communication made the situation significantly worse. I would not recommend staying here based on this experience.
