- DLDavid Lee2 days ago4.0Slightly different from the typical Holiday Inn, as it's located in a more residential area, but overall it's a nice hotel featuring what appears to be the latest-generation room design. Some other reviews mention marks on the corridor walls; however, this seems to be actively being addressed, as we saw evidence of repainting during our stay. A big plus of the stay was the air con during the late May heatwave - it was a God send. The food and drink offerings were good, and the pool table is a nice added touch. All of the staff were extremely friendly and genuinely seemed willing to go above and beyond to help. A special mention goes to Helen in the bar and restaurant, who provided excellent service. If you're staying in the area, I would definitely recommend this hotel. Its location outside the city centre also means free parking, which is a welcome bonus.

There wasn't a fridge or microwave in the room, which was a real bummer for keeping drinks cool or heating up leftovers. On top of that, it was incredibly noisy throughout my visit. Honestly, the whole experience was not what I was hoping for. I definitely wouldn't recommend it based on my time there.

- SSSanj SukerkarApr 5, 20264.0We stayed here for 5 nights. We got a standard room with a pull-out couch since I was traveling with my wife and teen daughter. With the sofa pulled out, it makes the room claustrophobic. In the room, some of the wall outlets didn't work and hair dryer was busted. In the washroom, there is no exhaust which meant there was mold/mildew growing on the washroom ceiling. The location was convenient since most of my business was around Wigston and Oadby area. If location is not an issue, the rooms of the Holiday Inn City Centre are bigger and cheaper. The rest of the hotel is great - the common areas, restaurant and lounge areas were generously spaced and newly renovated. The restaurant was awesome -- food tasted awesome, welcoming service, and breakfast was satisfying. That area ended up our hangout area. Thanks to the front desk staff for a great service!
