Stay in our first all-electric Premier Inn! Our Swindon hotel is fully powered and heated by grid energy from renewable sources and on-site solar cells. Very disappointing experience. After waiting for over an hour, the staff gave us an uncleaned double room instead of the family room we had booked. The room was not prepared, clean, or organised, and the staff were unfriendly and inefficient. Overall, the service was extremely poor, and I would not recommend this place.

Honestly could not fault. We booked pretty last minute as we were supposed to be spending two nights at a different hotel but had to leave early and book another hotel, as let’s just say the other hotel’s facilities were not great at all and we could not stay another night. This premier in was great for the price. The lovely woman on the reception and bar was great, unfortunately did not get her name. We booked one of the plus rooms but was well worth the extra money. lovely clean spacious room, lovely air con in this 30 degree heat, and comfortable beds and great shower. We even had food on the night and it was great for the price. Only downside was the parking at £18 for the night

I have been staying at this hotel since it opened a few years ago. I have always had the best interactions with most of the staff, particularly with one of the managers Matt, Nissan, and a lovely young lady named Xenia (i hope I spelled her name correctly)both from the ground floor team. I have literally been at this hotel since the 11th of May. They are always very pleasant and happy to help me.In any way, they can just the best employees. Yes, the hotel is located at the top ofSwindon Town and there is an unsavory witherspoon bar, located across the pathway from the hotel Personally I have never had an issue with anyone, but for anyone who may be a little skittish, i'm sure it would put a little fright into them. I have heard that the Savoy is about to be closed down?Which will make things much better for this hotel I'm sure. Nonetheless, a great hotel.Great price. And the happy hour is very reasonable too. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here. My only issue is with the parking. It's £16.50 for a 24 hour park. That's bad enough. But if you move your car to go anywhere within that timeframe and come back and the parking is full, which has happened on many occasions. To me, you will not be reimbursed for any time lost. Apparently, the parking owner's don't have an affiliation to the hotel which is a real shame since it is connected.

Tricky review as the hotel and the staff were great but the location is sketchy at best.
I witnessed a serious amount of drug use and general anti-social activity around the hotel. For example -
Loud and mouthy abuse from the patrons in the Wetherspoons, which is literally opposite the front door.
Open and explicit drug use in the car park. Not even at night but in the morning, today at 09:40 as I went to my car to leave, two guys were taking class-As right next to my vehicle as I was parked in the covered section of the car park.
They didn't seem bothered I was there and just carried on, which makes me think this is just 'something that happens'. Really awful, and as a single male, it wasn't great, but I dread to think how it would have appeared to families with young kids.
I respect the hotel and the staff (the rest of my stay was excellent), but this needs resolving and seriously quickly as it's unacceptable.
If you do stay here, then park in the open bit of the carpark.
The hotel is good and the staff are excellent but be very vigilant as it may not appear so at first, but it's a sketchy part of town.
