- SSSteve StimsonAug 12, 20262.0A very tired and noisy hotel. Banging doors through the night. We’ve stayed here a few times and this will be our last. It’s too tired and noisy now. I requested several upgrades, all of which were ignored. The staff ate great? The hotel needs a refit.

It took forever to check in and I had been offered an upgrade prior to arrival which I accepted but the lady seemed to have no idea how to make that happen so I told her not to worry. The room decor was disgusting with vile green/brown colour walls, the pillow cases were dirty and most of the TV channels did not seem to work. The lady at the pool was very friendly and helpful but unfortunately the whole changing room area was so dirty that I didn't even want to take my shoes off and walk bare feet. I slept well but in the morning we decided to have breakfast, think I paid close to £40, once again massively understaffed, I had to make a table up myself so we could sit only to then find out there were no plates or glasses out so everyone was just wandering around trying to find a plate, in the end I had to ask someone if we could have plates, glasses and if the bread could be restocked also. I could not wait to leave and will never be back, I definitely would not recommend this hotel to anyone else. I have stayed with ihg for years and I stay very very reguarly at all different hotels throughout the year as I choose to use them for all my business trips as well but this is far from holiday inn standard
