  As usual Premier Inn delivers on simple, easy and affordable accomodation. Breakfast is good. All you need from it. Small options if you dont like meat. Leek Premier Inn is close to the centre near the Tower and 3 mins walking from Aldi and some shops. I dont know how much parking is in town but Premier Inn charges 9£/day. All in all if you compare with Buxton room+parking is cheaper in Leek.

  UPDATE: We had Leek Premier Inn booked before our first stay, as we knew we were going to Alton Towers for the Scottish September weekend holiday. Again, we stayed as a family of 4. Our family room this time was slightly smaller than before, but thankfully the air con was working this time round. What a difference it made to having a more comfortable nights sleep. The fire alarm went off at 4am on our first morning. No idea what happened, as staff didn't bring it up. Happy to be safe and not need to evacuate for real. The real difference to our stay this time round was the allergy awareness. Big shout out to Michael, who had been drafted in from Macclesfield. On the ball, friendly and service with assurance and a smile. It really made all the difference for our son who has a tree nut and peanut allergy. To be included, having tasty food and there to be no sign of uncertainty of it's safety, is worth everything to someone with a severe food allergy. We've dealt with this for over a decade now and appreciate those who take the care and time to allow us to dine as a family. Even though food allergies are more prevalent than ever, we don't always get to eat out together. So it's a massive treat when we do. The other member of staff who nothing was too much bother to, was the smaller lady with curly hair. Unfortunately I didn't catch her name, but she was very personable and took the time to chat with our daughter each morning. Thank you. Should we return to Alton Towers again, we would book Leek. It's so handy, in a nice town and the parking cost is really reasonable. Top top: if you do stay, ask to have an upper floor room, as we've found in any hotel now, people don't really keep the noise down and walk about heavy-footed until late at night. ----- This hotel has potential to be amazing. The family room was huge, but during our stay the temp didn't drop below 27°, even with two fans running constantly. We had a horrible sleep due to the heat. The windows don't open either. Staff were kind, but seemed stressed. We have a member of our party who has a severe food allergy. Our go to hotel is always Premier Inn, as there are normally safe food options for them and the staff are very clued up on how to deal with allergies. On this occasion we found ourselves in the situation of some newer dishes being omitted from the allergy guide completely (spinach ravioli and BBQ ribs). Another item (tandoori chicken skewers) showed as being safe for someone with a peanut allergy as a starter, but then not safe as a main. When we questioned this, the chef informed us that they weren't in fact safe and the allergy guide was wrong. This could cause someone to lose their life if they had trusted the guide. The woman in charge that evebing contacted head office and they did arrange an emergency meeting for the next day, however, it shouldn't have happened in the first place. It has made us wary of eating at the Premier Inn in the future. Which is a shame, as our kids love it and it's easier than trekking to find somewhere nearby. All in all, and alright stay but it could have been better.
