  We stayed at Splash Landings Resort at Alton Towers for the first time and had a really enjoyable experience. The themed rooms were great and added a fun touch to the whole stay, especially for the kids. The buffet breakfast had a really good range of food, with plenty of choice for both adults and children, so everyone was able to find something they liked. One of the biggest advantages of staying at the resort is the early access to Alton Towers the following day. It meant we could get into the theme park before general admission and head straight for some of the more popular rides, which was a huge bonus and helped us make the most of our day. The shorter route from the resort into the park was another great perk. Overall, it was a fun and convenient stay, and we’d definitely consider staying at Splash Landings again on a future Alton Towers trip.

  I highly recommend a stay here if you are visiting for more than one day. We did two days with one night stay. Day 1 at the theme park Day 2 at the waterpark. The hotel is very child friendly, the staff were lovely, breakfast and the evening buffet was amazing. Overall, great value for money.

  Room had black mould in the bathroom, complained to reception and they sent a young employee down to clean with with zero ppe on and expected us go continue our stay in the room with a 7 year old. Told the employee not to touch it due to it being a h&s issue and asked for a new room. New room was better but a little dusty in places showing it hasn’t been cleaned fully between visitors

  The manager at the bar refused to serve me drinks with the bottle cap on to take to the room and blamed this on licensing which I sort of understand, but the joke of this is the first rule of having a licence is the protection of children and they let parents buy drink all night drunk with children. It’s like they have hooked onto a little rule to tell themselves they are doing the right thing but creating a massive safe guarding issue to make money utter madness in my view, reported to the local council who issue the licence.
