  First time staying and absolutely loved it. Room.was much nicer than expected. We stayed in the beachcomber room and kids loved the details- like the sand/water carpet, the pineapple lamp and the pictures on the walls in the bathroom. They had nescafe coffee and PG tips in the rooms which was an added bonus. Lovely sized bath and shower. Close to the entrance to the park and plenty of parking right outside the door of the hotel. Breakfast was included in the price of the stay and was absolutely delicious. Good range of hot food, cereals and fruit/yoghurt. Food was replenished with fresh regularly so everything was hot and fresh. This is also where they have a huge waterpark although we didnt use that this visit.

  Overall I was disappointed with Alton Towers. The hotel is very dated and felt dirty. The corridor stank, like a musty/ in need of a clean smell. The carpet looked filthy. The beds weren't comfortable but the worst bit was that the window opens a tiny bit. It wasn't that hot out (21 maybe) but there's a tiny opening of a window and a noisy fan and with four of us in the room it got hot and stuffy. There were also children running up and down the corridor until midnight. The bar staff took 20 mins to serve three soft drinks. We didnt stay for dinner. Breakfast was possibly the best bit. It was standard breakfast with dairy free milk and gluten free bread roll offered, which is great. There was no dairy free butter though. It was busy but the food was refilled quickly and staff were helpful despite being busy. Allergens available via QR code.

  Il va falloir prendre exemple sur d'autres parcs afin d'apprendre à gérer votre hôtel correctement. Nous avons été mal accueillis, il faisait chaud dans les chambres, le ventilateur ne fonctionnait pas, j'ai attendu 1h20 une pizza au bar alors que d'autres clients se faisaient servir la même pizza en 10 minutes. Lors qu'on se plaint on nous dit grossièrement de patienter parce que se plaindre ne fera pas aller les choses plus vite. Je n'ose pas parler de la saleté dans les cadres du lit. Le seul point positif pour moi est la gentillesse des hôtes/hôtesses d'accueil ainsi que les agents de ménages de nuits. Bref inspirez vous des autres parcs, rénovez vos chambres, nettoyez les et proposer un service correct à vos clients.

  L'hôtel est bien globalement mais l'expérience vécue pour le prix est extrêmement mauvaise. Les chambres sont simpa mais vieillottes, il y fait une chaleur étouffante même fenêtre ouverte par temps frais, les chambres sont poussiéreuses, les matelas sont dur et trop fin. Vous ne pouvez pas y manger sans volume sonore excessif, de plus nous avons attendu presque 1heure 30,nos amis aussi pour deux pizzas, sans aucune compensation. le service est hasardeux et on nous explique qu'ils sont débordés parce qu'il y a plus de 40 couverts. Ils vendent des produits en rupture puis vous font payer la différence. Le personnel est en souffrance lorsqu'il y a du travail. Pour le même prix allez à Disneyland vous ne le regretterez pas plus. Dommage la deco était sympa, . On n'y retournera pas merci même si les chanteuses et la réception étaient sympas.

  Given how great Alton Towers is as a theme park, we had high expectations for Splash Landings Waterpark, but the experience was very underwhelming. The drive into the park was lengthy. ​Parking was a complete free for all, you essentially just park wherever you can and hope for the best. While the walk down the stairs to the entrance started quiet, the ground floor ticket area was chaos. The entrance space is tiny and enclosed, causing it to fill up and back up fast. With only one entrance lane, one exit lane, and a barrier in the middle where staff manually let guests in, entry so slow. Scanning barcodes wasn't working properly, adding to the delay alongside visibly stressed staff handing out wristbands. ​Once inside, the changing rooms immediately hit us with a strong stench of urine, and this was only at 11:30am. Finding an available locker felt like being in a cattle market, and the toilets were filthy. ​The waterpark itself is surprisingly small and felt dangerously overcapacity. We visited on a Sunday expecting a relatively low-key crowd, but the facility simply isn't large enough for the number of people admitted. You literally couldn't move without bumping into someone. ​Our kids (12 and 13) had a great time running around on their own, but the park offers very little for adults looking to unwind. We headed outside to enjoy the sun, but there were no sun loungers and no decent-sized pool actually suitable for swimming. Every single facility, from the hot tubs to the main pools was completely crammed, making relaxation impossible. ​Leaving was just as badly organised. After getting through the barrier, we were directed toward a different set of stairs near the lifts to exit. A massive queue had formed in a narrow, very humid corridor. People exiting were completely blocking access to the hotel lifts, while guests stepping out of the lifts were trying to join the entry line. Having so many people trapped in one tiny space, some trying to leave and others trying to get in, shows how poorly designed the layout is. After waiting about 20 minutes in the heat, we gave up on the exit line and squeezed back up the entry stairs instead. They were packed too, but we simply weren't willing to wait in that cramped corridor any longer. To top it all off, the car park barrier on the way out wasn't working either, causing traffic to back up for a good 15 minutes. Eventually, staff had to instruct everyone to drive on the opposite side of the road to pass through the entry barrier one car at a time, so my £15 parking fee was useless! ​The waterpark definitely has the potential to be so much better if they were to expand. Adding a much larger outdoor pool and proper seating, like sun loungers, alongside a total rethink of their entry and exit layout, would make a world of difference. ​Personally I wouldn't recommend. Its ideal if you have small children and plan to be constantly on the move, but definitely not recommended for adults with older kids who want to sit back, swim, or relax.
