Recently just come back from CBeebies land.
The carpet in the rooms need to be cleaned, things where dusty ie the bedroom something special blue with stars on ceiling dusty, curtain at top dusty. Everything else was available in the room.
Windmill restaurant dinner not great not Mandy options not many chicken or veg options, people that don’t eat beef. Breakfast was great lots of food available.
The waterpark from CBeebies land hotel was a 10-15 min walk for someone who has a disability or unable to walk far. Very hot and overcrowded too many people in the waterpark area was unable to go as the queues where so long. Health and hygiene far too many people and smelly. The entertainment in the hotel was great for the kids.we stayed 2 nights.

Rooms are fun for kids, no doubt, but looking a but tired and scruffy around the edges - cracked lid on nappy bin, lots of scuffs on wall, that kind of thing. Communal area - meadow garden- is never cleaned, it's just left the entire day, bottles and dirty napkins etc. so you either clean up someone else's rubbish or sit on a table surrounded by it. Not sure why they cannot employ someone to be responsible for periodically cleaning tables and sweeping up mess on the floor. Bean bags desperately need a clean and re-stuffing. There are also only about 5 of them, I'm sure previously there were far more. Staff as friendly and helpful as ever which is what elevates the experience. The food and cleanliness are inexplicably lacking. The entertainment is the same each time, so I think after three visits we've probably come to the end of our hotel stays. Our children really love the hotel though and we haven't found anything else quite like it in the UK for kids. They love it; the little plane outside, the interactive buttons in the reception area, the lights and sounds in the lift, the positive affirmations in the WC (women not sure it the men have the same), the little cbeebies yellow blobs all over the place (cannot remember what these things are called), the screen in the meadow garden for them to sit and watch cbbc, the entertainment and meet & greets. Through adult eyes though it's easier to notice the broken table, the fraying curtains and empty glasses left lying around for literally hours.

We stayed at the CBeebies Land Hotel and the biggest positive was definitely the staff. The service throughout was very good and everyone we dealt with was excellent.
Sean at the front door was fantastic with the children and was really attentive, including making sure adults were wearing their lanyards and generally keeping an eye on things. Zara in the Windmill Restaurant was also brilliant and really looked after us. The food there was actually very good as well.
The shows and entertainment in the main shared area were another highlight and the children really enjoyed them.
Unfortunately, the room itself really let the stay down. It didn’t feel properly clean when we arrived. There were sticky bits on the sheets, labels still attached to some of the bedding and towels, and the room generally felt like it needed a thorough hoover and clean. The carpets and some of the communal areas also looked quite tired and could really do with a deep clean.
I completely understand that a hotel aimed almost entirely at small children is going to take a lot of wear and tear, but if anything I think that means the cleaning needs to be even more thorough.
Another thing that didn’t really make sense to me is the location. From our experience, the CBeebies Hotel felt like one of the furthest hotels from the park, which seems an odd choice when it is specifically aimed at families with very young children.
We were also expecting the benefit of the extra hour in the park, but in reality this didn’t work particularly well for us. We weren’t allowed through the short-stay entrance until around 9:45am, and the main park entrance appeared to be letting guests in before we were able to enter. That was disappointing, especially when early access is one of the benefits you expect from staying on-site.
Overall, the staff were fantastic, the food was good and the entertainment was very good for the children, but the cleanliness of the rooms, the general condition of the hotel and some of the practical benefits of staying there could definitely be improved.

Absolutely fantastic. Brilliant stay, the staff are soooo friendly and helpful! They went above an beyond to make us feel welcome and make our stay special. The gentleman that welcomed us at the door was so lovely and he really made us feel excited and ready to start our little break away right from the get go. The staff are fabulous and the hotel itself is incredible. It is such a treat for little ones and I think for adults too. The decoration is extraordinary, the lobby is breath taking and there is colour everywhere, it is so magical my children loved it! They cater for children really well too, for example they have special childrens plates, cutlery and drink cups in the restaurant. They also have special toilet seats in the rooms so little ones can use them too! The rooms were really clean and way better than I thought they would be! Communication was also fantastic, a few days before our stay they contacted us to ensure we had everything prepared ahead of time. They sent links to check in and to book our meals at the restaurant, and also encouraged us to download the alton towers app so we were fully prepared before we even went there! Brilliant stay, it was absolutely amazing! Would definitely recommend 100%
