  Had a 3 night stay booked and pre-paid for. Chose this hotel over the premier inn in nearby Leek as it had great reviews. Sadly this isn’t one of them. Our room was dirty, smelt musty and damp & had mould on the walls near what was my child’s sleeping space. The duvet covers on the beds were dirty with what looked like blood and when I asked reception for a clean duvet cover for my child’s single bed they said they would ‘try and find one’. An hour later they hadn’t appeared with one by which time it was 10pm and my child needed to sleep. So we slept in the double bed instead - normally not an issue but I had an arm injury and needed to wear splint on my wrist and stretch it out at night to be out of pain. Earlier in the evening we had booked a meal in the restaurant. We were told we had to go in at 7pm as there was a big booking later. We got there on time and then once seated were ignored for 45 minutes. 55 minutes after arriving someone finally took our order - despite others arriving after us and being served first. Just because only a small party doesn’t mean service should be any different. The food was cold and hardly edible so we paid the bill and left. Checked out the following day after one night as couldn’t sleep with the mould on the walls and the awful smell - you shouldn’t have to ask twice for clean bedding - that should be something that’s checked. There was no apology from staff, almost like everything was too much trouble. I didn’t bother complaining as when we left to check out I told the man on the desk we were leaving two days early and he said ‘hope you enjoyed your stay’. Wouldn’t have got anywhere with a complaint anyway as had already paid for the room upfront. We stay in Premier Inns a lot all over the country and I’ve never experienced a bad one until now. Such a shame as spoilt our time away and.caused added expense.

  Booked to stay over night before CBeebies Land with two young children it let us book breakfast on the website but then had no suitable availability in the morning (we could have gone at 6 am which we couldn't do as we got here not long before 11pm or after 10 am which is too late as we need to be at the park). Consequently, we travelled to make it more convenient for us, but actually we now have two hungry children and we've had to go out to a supermarket to try and find something we can't just go to a cafe as we have allergies to cater to that we know Premier inn can normally cater for. Premier in .you e let us down this time we've been refunded for breakfast , but not for our inconvenience. Avoid this Premier Inn or bring breakfast options.

  Nicole made the stay amazing and thank you for that. We had a couple of experiences which could have made the stay feel not as pleasant and Nicole without hesitation came to our aid, cleaning our room late at night supporting us with such amazing courtesy and a real attitude of wanting to make our stay more pleasant and actually made it amazing. This hotel absolutely needs the likes of Nicole who without Nicole we certainly wouldnt have been coming back and would have had a, not so great experience. Also Lou on reception, sunny bright and always ready to help. Thank you you guys.

  We had a lovely stay here recently. The staff were amazing and breakfast is really good and tasty. We had a little incident in the room and when we reported it to Nicole she took it up so quickly and made sure it was sorted. She really did go above and beyond for us and we felt heard and seen. I would definitely come back here when I next go to Alton Towers.

  Rooms are spotless and well kept . This is my third visit here . This was a fabulous place until they decided to cut the restaurant in half to make do withe the greed to get more money from rooms . The food is now served in a tiny sterile looking bright restaurant with no atmosphere and the few staff they have are trying to cope with the volume of guests in a small location. The staff do their best yo serve the poor quality of the food which is only due to the quality not the chefs . It's a poor experience now and I won't return.
