  The stargazing pods are exactly what we imagined when booking and they are very cute! Definitely like camping so if you’re not a fan of having to use communal toilets/showers these would not be a good place to stay for you. Had a lovely stay however it was an extremely hot weekend so the pods were boiling! If you’re thinking of staying in these for the summer months I would recommend paying that extra bit more money and stay elsewhere in the resort. We arrived on the Saturday morning and had to wait a bit for reception to open (just after 3pm). We got into our pod and the radiator was on full heat so was quite unbearable in there! There is a guest services number to call however opening times were Monday-Friday 9am-4pm I believe so we couldn’t call them. Also not sure how long the reception staff were available but as we were out all throughout the days we couldn’t contact anyone (was going to ask if we could possibly have a fan). You get a free breakfast bap and a drink with your stay which we got however on the first day we had to wait an extra 30 minutes as the staff “weren’t aware the breakfast station was open that day” even though it surely would be open everyday? On the second day there was only one staff member serving so we must of queued for about 20/30 minutes waiting to be served. Overall, I would perhaps stay in the pods again but only in winter/autumn months however, I think from now on we will just pay the extra bit more money and stay in the hotel!

  Amazing place I love the rooms it’s a cozy little environment I love the theming at the entrance and I think the staff where amazing

  Really impressed with this place, very clean and peaceful area of alton towers at a great price, shower block is very nice and clean, breakfast baps were lovely. Just a heads up, if the weather is nice then take a fan with you because the pods will get very warm
