  We had an awesome room and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The evening dinner was fully booked so had to eat out the spa was good but could be more appealing to lounge by the pool if had the loungers.

  We stayed in the holiday inn, Shepperton for 2 nights whilst doing a thorpe park break. The hotel was an option with the short break whilst booking thorpe park. As thrill seekers, as well as big relaxers we wanted somewhere to unwind when coming back from a busy day full of rollercoasters. The facilities were great, the pool, hot tub and sauna, however the steam room was unfortunately not usable due to maintenance. As well as this, there were children’s swimming lessons going on whilst we were using the pool so we were limited on where we could swim. Although the pool was a nice aspect of our stay, we didn’t appreciate getting splashed by children, so our time in the pool felt limited. The room was clean, tidy, modern, however, we did see a lot of cobwebs in our room, but this can happen and sometimes can be missed. The shower facility was a bit confusing and we couldn’t change the temperature no matter how much we turned the dial, it just kept getting hotter. On the second night of our stay, we opted for dinner in the restaurant, we were surprised to see that a big wedding was going ahead, and our relaxing meal wasn’t as relaxing as we thought as there was children and adults in large gowns running and walking through the restaurant whilst we were eating, this was non stop. We were sat next to the bathroom, and every few minutes, the door was opened and we were greeted by wedding guests. Children were also running around the bar area and restaurant area, kids can be kids but we hurried our meal and went back to our room. Breakfast was fantastic, both mornings we had breakfast and it wasn’t just the typical full english and continental, it had everything, the best aspect was the hotel offered takeaway cups so we could grab a coffee on the go. we loved this and more hotels should do this. The staff were kind, pleasant and friendly. One lady had reception really took the time to chat with us and ask us about our travels, where we’re from etc which was really lovely. The hotel clearly had a bit of a revamp over the last few years because it was beautifully modern and clean. Overall a nice experience with a few surprises along the way but we definitely would stay again if we were ever in the area but would make sure there was no weddings going ahead!   We stayed in the Holiday Inn for 2 nights and had a lovely room, comfortable bed and shower was easy to use. The food was excellent, we really enjoyed the salad - it was delicious 😋 Also the apple crumble was great. There was a really good opportunity to enjoy a varied selection of food from the buffet. The staff were friendly and helpful - especially Julie who worked hard looking after the dinner guests. Thank you for a lovely time at the Holiday Inn. 😊😊

  Overall, we had a good stay at Holiday Inn Shepperton and would rate our experience 4/5. We really enjoyed the breakfast and the swimming pool, and the reception staff were very friendly and welcoming. The £8 overnight parking charge was reasonable, although I do feel that parking should ideally be free for hotel guests. Unfortunately, the main downside was our room. We had specifically requested a quiet room, but there was a strange noise coming from the walls, which sounded like a machine or a hoover running continuously somewhere nearby. This was particularly noticeable at night and made it difficult to fully enjoy the room. We contacted the manager and they were very helpful and responsive. They offered us a few possible solutions, and we accepted one of them. Although the room itself was disappointing, I was impressed by how quickly and efficiently the hotel dealt with our complaint. Overall, despite the issue with the room, we had a pleasant stay. The friendly staff, good breakfast, swimming pool, and excellent response to our complaint were all positives. With some improvement to the room experience, we would be happy to stay again.
