  Wow, that sums it all up, what a great welcome a friendly receptionist. Our room was as expected clean and tidy and loads of room to swing a cat i think it must have been a family room. Our breakfast was great lot's of choice and hot, sometimes we have experienced warm and even cold food BUT not here - Fantastic. What a great idea a free packet of biscuits to enjoy on arrival. Although bringing back room biscuits would be great

  Thankyou for such a great stay. Our room was lovely and clean the kids had a great time and winning on the tombola. Great idea for the kids. The breakfast was hot and fresh. Thank you to Sonja for her help with directions and local knowledge.

  Hotel is ok. But I had to pay an extortionate parking fine. It says free parking if you register your car, which I did, tried to appeal to the parking company and got nowhere, spoke to the hotel and got nowhere. Don’t waste your money

  Came down for my prepaid breakfast at 9.30am to be rudely asked what I wanted by the receptionist sitting stuffing her face. Was told there was no breakfast as chef had gone sick. After working a night shift far from home I am now making a 200 mile journey hungry. I could also see a chef in kitchen washing up. Further to my complaint, I tried calling guest relations, even though I had booking number and booking was in my name was told they couldn’t progress complaint as I didn’t know booking email as it had been booked through my company

  Extremely disappointing stay at the Taunton Ruishton Premier Inn. We arrived late at night with two young children and were allocated a family room where the main light was not working. The only light available was a small lamp in the corner, making it difficult to see and creating safety concerns with young children moving around the room. When I reported the issue to reception, I was told that the fault had already been flagged. I was shocked to learn that the hotel was aware of the problem before our arrival but still chose to allocate the room to us without informing us or discussing an alternative. We had also requested a cot in advance, which was not provided. Fortunately, I had brought my own travel cot as a backup, but due to the size and layout of the room, the only place it would fit was next to plug sockets, which was far from ideal for a one-year-old child. The bathroom was not cleaned properly, with toothpaste stains and beard clippings still present, and the toilet flush was also faulty. What made the situation worse was that we arrived late at night, were over three hours from home and travelling with two young children, meaning leaving and finding alternative accommodation was not a realistic option. Following the stay, Premier Inn accepted that the lighting fault was known before check-in, acknowledged the cleanliness and maintenance issues and confirmed that the room should not have been allocated in that condition. Despite this, they refused to provide an adequate refund. This is by far the worst experience I have had with Premier Inn and falls well below the standard I have come to expect from the brand. I would not stay at this hotel again.
