The room wasn’t cleaned properly. We reported the issue to reception, but despite our complaint, nothing was done. Very disappointing service.

Service here has really gone down hill in the last few years. Staying this time we where told the restaurant didn't open until 1800, but we couldn't get a table until 1900. There was only about 10 cars in the car park. The room had a terrible smell in it,not pleasant. Breakfast in the morning was horrible, all the cooked food was like plastic it had been there for ages.

Me and my partner needed somewhere to stay on our return from Manchester to Cornwall so we decided on Taunton. We chose this particular one as it was close to getting back on our way in the morning. We turned up in the evening and was greeted by a lovely receptionist and given the room for the one nights stay. Now we've stayed in plenty of Premier inns recently and I have to say this one was disappointing. It obviously hadn't been cleaned as the dirt on the carpet was visible to see , there was hair in the bath and around the sink , the pull out bed was covered in fluff and dust , the room had a bad odour and the temperature was 27.5° even when it wasn't a particularly warm day outside. They do provide a fan in the room which we used all night and the following morning. In the morning we left and I could see they had cleaners in , and honestly that was poor in itself , I understand cleaning is a tough job but to walk past one of the rooms which was open and one of the cleaners to be sat with her feet up on one of the beds scrolling on her phone summed up the whole experience for me. I don't usually leave reviews but I had to this time as I wouldn't want anyone else to experience the same. Premier Inn do better! Avoid this one for another as there are plenty more in the area.

Please do not waste your money and stay here until it has been cleaned properly and refurbished. Have stayed in many premier inns and other hotels and this has to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The cleanliness was awful and luckily only had to stay one night. Will not be staying here again! The only positive was the ladies on the front desk were friendly.
